I tried a Lenny Lamb woven wrap in a diamond weave from my local BWI chapter. As I'm starting to look into purchasing one of my own, I'm noticing different weave type (Diamond, Jacquard, Broken Twill), does the weave affect how the wrap feels/wraps?

Essentially, yes. Weave will affect how much diagonal stretch a wrap has, how grippy it is, thickness, etc. A wrap with more texture in the weave will be more grippy, smoother weaves are less grippy but easier to adjust. It really depends on brand as far as how much difference there is in different weaves. You can also look at GSM, which will tell you how heavy/thick a wrap is. Lower GSM will be a thinner wrap, higher GSM will be thicker.
All my wraps are jacquard weave, and I find the more pattern they have on them, the grippier they are. More empty space in the pattern=less grippy. Lenny wraps are usually soft and pretty moldable.

This is my experience, too. All of my wraps were jacquard weave, the ones with a more intricate pattern were grippier just because of the topography of the pattern, if that makes sense. At least that is true of cotton wraps. My linen blend wraps are much slipperier in general and the patterns are not as bumpy.
