Hi loves! I just wanted to quickly update you all on what's going on with me! I'm currently admitted into the birthing center with a sever double kidney infection, and set to be induced tomorrow morning after all of my antibiotics have been finished off.
Here's the back story:
I've been having lower back pain since around Sunday night. Talked with the midwife about it Monday, we both decided it's just back pains from being hugely pregnant. The week goes on, each night the pains get worse. Again, I have a bad back so I assumed pregnancy pains. Last night I was in excruciating pain -- shaking/shivering violently for 2 hours, vomiting, the works. So we went in around 2:30. They figured out it's a severe double kidney infection. Let me tell you something -- you DO NOT WANT a kidney infection. I feel like dying at times.
Anyway, they thought kidney stones but the US showed none; that's a plus. Since I'm due in a few days and was induced with Delaney, I opted to take them up on the induction with this baby. It was an incredibly smooth, perfect experience last time, so here's to hoping I have the same general experience this go around.
Wish me luck! I'm not sure on timing in the am, hopefully the sooner the better. I sent Zack back home with Delaney again tonight. There's no need for him to lay on this uncomfy couch and be miserable. He had a lovely daddy daughter day with her today, they came to visit me. As did my mom, sister, and nephew.
I'll keep you all updated! 💕
ETA: It's a BOY!! Layton River made his appearance today at 7:06pm after a smooth induction. Induction started at about 11:30am; with an epidural placed a few hours later. Just like with Delaney, the moment I felt some pressure it was time! I pushed for 2 minutes and he was here!
I'm super tired so I'll try to update more when I'm more awake.
