1. For the first time in a looong time, I was really, really on top of my diet and workouts this week and actually have progress! I lost 5 lbs and 2 inches around my waist (my pooch has been my biggest issue ever since J was born) and even though I'm sure it's mostly water weight, it still gives me so much motivation to keep on going. I have my dietbet weigh-in tomorrow and it feels so good to actually feel confident that I have met my goal. (Usually with dietbets, I am BARELY squeaking under the line when I win.)
Unfortunately, last week was a very unnatural environment (spring break with daycare) where I actually had time/energy to think/plan/do things for myself and minimal stress. So I'm a little concerned about being able to keep up any semblance of this in the following weeks.
2. Next week is nuts. I'm starting a new job, my commute is increasing by 20 mins each way, have a huge presentation/project due Saturday, commitments multiple nights, and just a lot of urgent work and non-work things to get done.
I'm just going to remove workouts from the table until Sunday because of time constraints. Which means I need to be extra, extra good on my diet. Except for my birthday. : )
3. My recommendation is kinda silly but whatev. I have always read in fitness magazines and whatnot what a great snack a hard-boiled egg is and thought that sounded awful, but I've been doing low-carb this week and gave it a chance and I'm in love with hard-boiled eggs now. I slice them and put salt/pepper and make a little "taco" with a piece of deli meat and it is so delicious and filling. I have such a sweet tooth so it's really unusual for me to get excited about a salty snack but this has really worked for me this week.
1. This was my week to cheat. I've found that 2-3 weeks of sticking to my diet strictly and 4-5 days of little cheats (about 80% on track, 20% cheats) works best for me. I'll be tightening up the strings tomorrow, but I didn't gain anything!
2. Back to the diet 100% and hopefully some outside time. It rained a lot last week so we didn't get out much.
1. No wins at all. My allergies are still kicking my butt and I ate way too much candy and drank too much soda. But candy is gone!
2. I've really got to get my butt in gear. We're doing family picture in 2 weeks and I don't want to be a blob. My goals are meet my water goals every day, no candy or dessert M-F, and be active at least 20 mins each day.
3. I'm having a hard time thinking of anything. That's what happens when you have such a bad week
