shawnabm1320 when I found out I was having a girl, I was over the moon excited. But then I got sad that I'd never have another baby wear DS's cutest clothes. Hormones, yo.

We are in between sizes also. There were a couple of outfits DD1 never got to wear and I was hoping DD2 would get to, but she's already too big! So the visit to my office went well with minimal crying. The only downside was coming home with a talking/music playing toy. Thankfully DD1 got completely worn out and is napping. Somehow baby is not tired despite being passed around.
LO is exactly 11lbs! She's odd with her reflux too according to the doctor. But as long as we can keep her happy while eating, we'll take it. He made me feel better by telling me his oldest daughter was a pain to feed and then they had another and were amazed at how easy it was. So we just have a difficult baby model, it's most likely not me :/
We're getting lots of stuff done around the house today. How are you guys bathing your children? We have a baby tub. We've been putting it on the floor of the bathroom but it's really hard to get up and down off the floor while holding a wet infant. We have a stainless steel sink in our laundry room that we never really use for anything so I just cleaned and sanitized it so I'm thinking of trying that out tonight. Anyone have any tips for me?
staz We started in the bathroom sink. Once they got too big for that, we moved to a baby bath tub in the regular bath tub and I lay a towel on the floor next to me to set the baby on when he/she is clean. I can wrap them up in the towel so they aren't slippery as I get off the floor.

staz I put the baby bathtub on my kitchen counter or over the sink. It works great until she's big enough to do big splashing. Then we'll move to putting her baby bath tub in the regular bathtub.
oldbaylover1024, that puff pastry sandwich thing sounds amazing. I'm stealing that idea for dinner Sunday.
On the clothes convo, S is wearing 3-6/6 month stuff because everything goes over the harness. It looks ridiculous. She's still kind of peanut-sized so while the lower half of whatever she's wearing looks alright over the harness, the sleeves just dwarf her little arms. Poor kid. It frustrates her to no end that she has to battle to find her fists to chew on them.
I survived yesterday pretty well and S got a solid 7.5hr stretch which was a beautiful thing. After I fed her, she just happily hung out on her play mat. A was off to school, and G was still asleep. I got so much done! Laundry, dishes, swept, vacuumed, swiffered, dusted, and cleaned the windows downstairs.
Then I went to the dentist and had to get the abscessed tooth pulled. Didn't hurt as bad as I thought, but as I was taking care of billing I got woozy and almost fainted right there. So embarrassing. In all my cleaning, I'd forgotten to eat breakfast and meds/ blood loss got the better of me. A nice nurse helped me off the floor to a chair and gave me juice and a yogurt. It was interesting trying to eat that with a numbed up face.
Even so, I still got grocery shopping done and am now hanging out in the car and reading while A is in therapy. It's so nice outside!

staz I put it on my kitchen counter. And I have a hose type faucet and fill it with that. Once she can sit I will ditch the infant tub and put her right in the sink or tub with her sister.
I'm in Atlanta traveling for work until tomorrow night. DH is solo with the two kiddos. The night before I left B had a fever and slept terribly. He had conjunctivitis and couldn't go into daycare. DH says he was better this morning but talk about the major mommy guilt for having to leave him.
Now I'm just trying to manage pumping logistics during my meeting. We had a team building activity outside for 4 hrs and I went close to 5hrs between pumps. Ugh. Awful. I can already see the stress of this trip impacting how many oz I'm getting. ðŸ˜

We're having a hell of a time over here but right now I need the nurse mom's in here who feel they can, to PM me about intisusseption (sp?). We're waiting for tests but the doctors haven't come back yet to talk to me. flyinghorses6, there is 1 or 2 others if somebody can tag... I can't Google medical stuff. I need something real. What am I looking at if that's it? Best/worst case. The nurse said something about "depending how long it's been". What does that mean? Is it worse if it's been a while vs if we just caught it?

Are those team building things ever useful or do they just provide a common experience to complain about?

Sorry working FT and twins is no joke. Mornings are pure hell mainly because my 3 almost 4 (in June) feels she only wants to wear black leggings. We had 4 but two recently got holes in the knees. I didn't buy more because I figured summer..nope won't wear the capris or shorts I've gotten. I have an 8 am meeting tomorrow and I'm scared of how I'm gonna make it on time.
Well day 2 of majorly having to dip into my freezer stash for bottles for daycare. I brought my old PISA today instead of my Spectra and no change. I need to figure out a way to get 9 more ounces pumped a day!! Ugh!!! Guess I'll have to pump through the night.

I'm not a nurse but I'm sorry you're dealing with that littleredfish. FX it's nothing serious. Is it LO or one of your children? You're in my thoughts.

I just sent you a PM. Hope you're all doing ok. Everything will be ok, I am glad that you are at the doctors and getting answers. Positive vibes to LO. I hate that you're most likely dealing with this alone. I hope someone is helping you or at least watching your other LOs.

I didn't get it yet, maybe just Internet delay. All of us are here for now. I haven't got ahold of my in laws yet and BIL finishes work in an hour and said he'd come get the girls if his parents haven't yet. Still no answers. I'm trying to ask nurses but I keep crying whenever I open my mouth to talk and my girls are all concerned. I'm just really tired. No sleep is making this worse.

I copied it here because it's not sending...
Hey lady I just saw your post. I'm no expert in this area but intussusception would be the intestines "telescoping" into itself. Basically folding backwards into itself. Most doctors want to rule this out if a baby presents with bloody diapers, and signs of come and go pain for the baby. What made you get LO checked out? I believe that if the only symptom babe has is blood in the diaper it's more commonly a milk protein allergy, but don't quote me on that. If it is intussusception sometimes an enema can fix it and I think by the nurse saying it depends how long LO has had it, he/she meant the longer it's been an issue the more likely scenario that surgery would be needed to fix it. I believe it is done laparoscopically if possible.
I am so sorry you are worrying about this, but I am glad you are at the doctor. Please keep me posted. I'm sorry I'm not more helpful--this info is basically just what I remember for my pedi rotation and my friends son who they thought had this. (Turned out he had a milk protein allergy). Sending love and good vibes your way.
littleredfish- big hugs lady!!! I hope that it's nothing more than the milk allergy. Hopefully you can get a hold of family to come and help support you!
