WE CHOSE A DAYCARE! I'm supposed to go Friday to sign the paperwork and put down the deposit. Hubs was great. He didn't snark at me for being snobby and classist and petty with my decision to go with the Reggio Emilia style center for 3 days a week. I'm not proud of some of my feelings. Y'all can't flame me more than I've flamed myself. However, I absolutely believe in their philosophy and the intentionality behind what they do with the children. I hate that the same type of programming isn't available at a Head Start, for instance. The children who need the most enrichment, get the least.
cornpop311 - I love love love my Hanna Anderson leggings. They are opaque and super soft and comfortable, but "breathe" better than the LLR ones. I love them. They are a bazillion dollars but they make me happy. If you've never shopped there or can use another email like your husband's I could email you a 20% off referral code that could help take some sting out.

cornpop311 I finally got to snooping at the tattoo artist. We acrually have friends in common! He went to school with lots of people I know since the schools were close. But I noticed that he is friends with my tattoo friend who did my thigh and lives in Australia as well as a friend i grew up with who was tattooed by him also.
I'm sure he probably meant it in a "tedious job" kind of way since lines and ribs aren't aren't easy to do. But One thing that I've noticed about tattoo artists, they are almost all assholes. Nice, but assholes. Several of my friends are married to them... They aren't so nice. So if they have a specific style they enjoy doing and you don't want that, they often will complain about it but not to your face. I mean, I might be an asshole too if people paid me over $100 an hour, made my own hours, got to do art, barely paid taxes, and women threw themselves at me everyday.
I think the tattoo is beautiful and I wouldn't worry about it.
Ok so our new house has ugly, old laminate countertops. We may do a kitchen Reno in 2-3 years so I'd like to replace them with something I won't hate, will last 3-5 years without looking like total shit, and I won't be upset about getting rid of if we rearrange the kitchen layout later. Is there something nicer/more durable than laminate but less expensive than granite that is also not totally ugly? I'm seriously considering a dark stained butcher block or wood. Am I totally crazy?
This has probably been covered by now since I'm not caught up, but we have butcher block from ikea. I like it, and as long as you try not to leave wet cups sitting on the counter, it holds up pretty well. We've sealed it twice, but I think you're supposed to do it yearly? Oops.

cornpop311 Yes, it really is such a small world. And the tattoo community is pretty tight knit, so they all get to knowing each other. I am only now finally able to start getting tattooed again, due to finances. Hoping to get my Mother's Day present for W ASAP!
