I call my parents Mama and Papa. My nephew calls them Nana and Papa. My stepson calls DH Dad (used to be Daddy). My grandparents were Nana, Poppie, Grandma, and Grandpa. My dog "refers" to me and DH as Mama and Daddy.

Mom and Dad when I'm talking to other people about them. But then in college I started calling them Mamma and Pops when I talk to them.

My Grandparents - Grandma and Grandpa, Mamaw and Papaw.

Our kids call my parents Mommom and Pawpaw, and H's mom is Nanny.

I call my parents Mom and Dad, dad is Daddy sometimes.
I only grew up with one set of grandparents since my dad's parents passed away when he was young. My mom's parents are Gramma and Grampa and my gramma's mom was Nana and her mom Nonna.
When we talked about my dad's parents we referred to them as Gramma first name and Grampa first name.

Hopefully my kids will have 2 sets so idk what they'll all be called. Maybe what we use for our cat haha: me and H are mummy and daddy, my mom is Grammy (first name that rhymes with Grammy) my dad is Grampa first name, H's mom is Nana (first name that rhymes with nana) and dad is Grampa first name.

I call my parents mom and dad. My grandparents were always grandma or grandpa first name, on both sides.

Our kids call my parents grandma and grandpa too, and H's parents Bubba and Gramps.

I call my parents Mom and Dad now, Mommy and Daddy when I was little. DD calls us Mommy and Daddy, the Mama and Dada phase didn't last long.

My grandparents were Grammy/Papa and Grandma/Grandpa.

DD has a ton of grandparents and great grandparents. Grandparents are: Bubbe/Zayde (Yiddish for Grandma and Grandpa), Nana/Pop-Pop, and Grandpa First Name/Grandma First Name. Her great grandparents are Nonna for the grandmother that we call Nane and the other 2 sets we just put "great" in front of what we call them.

Parents are Mom and Dad, ILs are also Mom and Dad. Though I will differentiate between my parents and ILs by calling the ILs Mama and Pops, if I don't use their first names.

Grandparents were Grandma/Grandpa (also with surname sometimes -- paternal side) and Lola/Papa. ILs, I call my MIL's parents by their first names and FIL's parents/stepparents Grandma/Grandpa First Name.

I call my husband Dad, Daddy, and Papa for our cat. He doesn't really use a name for me. Occasionally Mom. VERY occasionally.

I called my grandparents Grandmom, Grandad (dad's parents) and Grandma First Name (mom's mom). Now that mom's mom is my only living grandparent though, it's sometimes just Grandma. I never knew my mom's dad, but when talking about him I typically refer to him as Grandpa First Name.

The great-grandparents that I knew were Great-Grandma Last Name and Great-Grandpa Last Name. For the great-grandparents that I never knew, if they come up in conversation I call them what my dad and aunt called them (bubbe and zayde).

My oldest sister will call my dad daddy when she wants something. It cracks me up. But yeah, on a regular basis is just weird.

My parents were mommy/mom daddy/dad grandparents were/are Grandma and Grandpa and Baba and Gido.

We call DSs grandparents grandma and grandpa first name and grandpa first name. My dads girlfriend is Nana - I didn't have a say in that. (Not the name but him calling her any type of title).

When I talk about my mom to DS I call her Grandma first name.

Are they all American?  I know it's a cultural thing for some people.  I know several people that call their parents Mommy and Daddy well into adult years.

My SIL does this, but there's definitely an understanding between her and FIL that it's her being cutesy.  It still makes me laugh, though.

Rama I definitely do not think it's a culture thing. Unless it's a country thing which I doubt. I am seriously relieved that we can call them gram and gramp now lol.

Well, I mean, it actually is cultural.

Native or culturally raised Filipinos frequently call their parents mommy and daddy. It's just not AMERICAN culture. That's all I was trying to get at. (See my above on how I call my parents -- I was raised culturally American.)

I called my parents Mommy and Daddy when I was little, but it's Mom and Dad now.

I called my dads parents Grandma and Grandpa. My moms parents died when she was 18...but I probably would have called them Memere and Pepe.

DD usually calls us Mommy and Daddy. DHs mom is Grandmother and his stepdad was Grandad. My mom is Memere (its french) and my dad is Papa.
