Eeeek! **pregnancy/baby warning - NOT MINE**

I know I have mentioned that Im photographing a birth here very soon. Ive been on call. Well....she is in labor! Its slow right now.....so Im waiting for the call thats coming at any time now! Wish me luck, Im so nervous
because I want to do an awesome job for this family. Ive never photographed a birth event so yeah.....nerves!

Hey Girls! Its been HECTIC in my life right now. Baby was born. I got the call at 9:30 at night she was in active labor. I went to her home (she planned on staying there as long as she could handle it) There for 2 hours and then off to the hospital she went! She was checked in at midnight and dilated all the way to 7! and hour later she was at 8 and them it all slowed down!!! She didn't deliver till 10:37am the next morning. I went about 36 hours without sleep but let me tell you it was amazing.

I was exhausted for 2 days.....lol. Its definitely some kind of high though....Im addicted to this kind of photography.

KirstenAlecia that's pretty crazy. I didn't know people did that! And I admire you for being able to go without sleep that long. I turn into a monster of a person to deal with when you mess with my sleep. Lol

I'm happy for you that you had this opportunity!

People totally do this!!! And pay BIG BUCKS for it.  I did it for next to nothing but that was just because i had never done birth photography. This mamma had been quoted $600-$900 by other more experienced photographers in this area. So i gave it to her for a steal.....$200.
If you want someone to be on call day or night and drop EVERYTHINg....well, people will pay for that if its what they truly want.
