Today is just not getting better. So much screaming, I don't know what to do.
How old it's your LO?
5 weeks tomorrow. She finally slept a couple good chunks this afternoon so hopefully she's getting over whatever was bothering her. We've all had colds so I'm thinking that's it, possibly combined with a growth spurt.
bookish I have a Macy's giftcard. We went and I looked for some stuff and tried a few things on and cried a little. It's hard accepting this new form (even if we intend to get back in shape, this is the shape we are in NOW). I didn't end up getting anything because I was too tired to keep shopping and was worried L would wake up crying and want to nurse. I am shopping on line and intend to get lots of tent-like tops so I can nurse in them this summer, and they will hide the chub. Not the most flattering look but whatever.
This is the part I don't think he appreciates. It's so hard to find balance.
Not to downplay his contribution and his work, but his job ends. He gets to come home and relax and gets a break from it. Whereas being a Mom/parent is constant. You can't just punch out and stop taking care of the baby. He can sign on for at least a couple hours in the early portion of the night to give you a jump start of sleep.

This is how I feel about it. So we'll see how the "talk" will go. Not well I don't think.
mosdub Thanks for sharing. It is helpful to know that I am not alone and that not everyone just bounces right back! I ended up finding a few pairs of elastic waist linen shorts and some flowy tops that will suffice for now. At least peasant type tops and palazzo pants seem to be in style this summer!

glb30 I needed to read that. I haven't called the number for the therapist the NP gave me and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I need to make that a priority this week, if not tomorrow.
mikaela20 It is important to find something that works for both of you and it might take a couple of different tries at schedules and routines to figure it out.
This is where we landed after a lot of frustration at each other with DD. I do all the middle of the night feedings here. I do better on less sleep and can fall asleep faster after, but DH stays up a bit later and feeds DS before he goes to bed. We are currently sleeping in different beds. Maybe not ideal, but then I don't have to worry about waking him up and he doesn't worry about waking me up when he goes to bed and handles DD in the morning. We also try to make sure each gets a nap on the weekend. Eventually, DS will sleep and then we will share a bed again. We both realize it is temporary.

bookish I've got 20lbs to go to. I was hoping since I gained only 35 this time that it would be easier to lose but not so much. I still rocking maternity jeans and plan to for a while. I probably wouldn't need to if I would quit buying ice cream and cookies.
Omg first major cry fest where all my usual tricks didn't work. Ended up "swinging" him side to side like one of those baby swings I've seen. Calmed down immediately. Getting a swing tomorrow. H is frugal when it comes to baby stuff but after tonight he might relent on this

I have 20 to go also and the scale hasn't budged in a long time. Weirdly enough this is what happened with DD1, I was stuck at this weight and then suddenly at like 6 months it was all gone plus some.

DD's sleep is going backwards! She used to sleep 6 hours and now it's 4. I'm blaming lack of supply in the evening and going to start power pumping tonight.
