My kids basically broke me yesterday. I am pissy with H because when I called him at 9:30 (remember kids broke me) he was walking into a casino. Dude just doesn't get it. He doesn't get that he is constantly going out and doing adult things while i hold the family together and raise the kids by myself. He's out of town to work - does that really mean he gets to play like a bachelor at the same time every single night? Cause I sure as hell don't think so.
But I am pretty stressed with the upcoming travel on Wednesay. I don't even have my information cause H booked it and hasn't sent. You know cause he's too busy playing.
I need to pack (figure out what to wear), check my ipod, pack kids, get all shit to my parents house for kids, get new tires (not going to happen most likely but still), return shit to target from DD birthday and hit up publix again. I have too much shit going on.
@janetheconquerer, hang in there. Hopefully after this trip, things can settle down a little between you and H, and hopefully he can stress a little less. I forget, is gambling normal for him? Or could he maybe be trying to distract himself with the recent events?
I'm sorry @janetheconquerer, you really deserve a break. I know you well get everything done because you're a bad ass, but that doesn't take the stress away.
@betweenthelines, he doesn't so much as gamble like black jack. he loves keno (and I know you know what that is, which we don't have down here). So he sits at the bar, drinking and playing keno. And yes, if there is a casino in the vicinity of his job he goes. But when there isn't he searches out breweries, concerts, sports events, bars with trivia and golden tee, etc. You get my drift. It's like oh no kids, no wife, i can do whatever the f i want to do all.the.time. And then calls me and gets pissy when i am clearly not excited about his adventures. (usually i haven't showered for the day, my entire body hurts, i have a kid attached to me, one crying, one screaming, going on 4 hours of sleep blah blah blah....sorry dude, welcome to real life)
New cafeteria breakfast review: Thumbs up. The coffee (which I haven't had in years because the previous company's coffee was sludge) is good! And the food was good and not covered in salt and tasted like good quality food. The last company got very stale and I think they were just over it, and it showed in their business. This company decorated the cafeteria, they had a nice parfait bar, muffin area and updated registers and machines. I'm impressed so far.
Look at me reviewing a work cafeteria. I'm laughing. Srs bsns over here.

I got up early and got my workout in. I'm meeting some moms friends for swimming at the indoor pool at our community center. I need to meal plan and make a Costco run later too. So I'm glad that my workout is done.

@janetheconquerer that's really frustrating and I would be really upset too. Sending you a huge bottle of wine and a 6 pack of your favorite beer plus a hug.
@janetheconquerer, that does suck.. I think I'd be pissy more from a jealousy standpoint. I can't really say I blame him as far as seeking out things to do while away because I would probably do the same thing if I traveled for work. But your feelings are 100% valid, especially if he isn't listening to you when you talk because he's about to gamble or go drink or whatever. He should set time out to put focus on you, see how your day is and how the kids are, and keep his events/happenings on the back burner a little, because obviously that is a lot more fun then dealing with a toddler and a preschooler. No one wants that shit thrown in their face all the time when they're not around.
pulled into a parking spot and there was someone pulling into the one across from me. she started yelling at me - she wanted to pull thru. i shrugged and she kept yelling when i got out. so me, ever so calmly asked, is something wrong? and she was like you took my parking spot. my reply, sorry you are in your parking spot, maybe you should go back to drivers ed if you think otherwise. and walked away.
drop the mic.
and 2. i bought a turkey sub from publix, drove back to work opened it up and it is a roast beef sub. ugh.
