I'm off today and it finally stopped raining! DD and I will probably venture on an errand or 2 later.
I've already started laundry and put away some toys we don't play with anymore. Now I'm looking up Pinterest recipes since I'll actually have time to make one;)
This is my super nuts week! Today is the quietest with DS going to preschool this morning and first day of tball tonight, I'm so excited to see him get started!!! If the weather holds up, as there is rain in the forecast. (ETA I mean stops, as it's currently raining) So for the rest of the day I'll have to get some laundry done and start organizing spare bedrooms. We also set the camper up yesterday for some extra beds. We get a whole overflow-houseful when it comes to this fundraiser weekend haha.
We too spent most of the weekend outside, and the 2 week forecast looks even more glorious. We usually have to wait until May to see a regular spring and I'm glad it's finally here!
Oh weather, thanks for the migraine. Nothing has touched it so far so I'll be heading home from work shortly. I'm setting up lessons, filling out a leave slip, and heading home. I probably won't tell my mom so I can have a day to myself at home, alone. Who am I kidding, of course I'll tell her at some point.
I hope everyone else has a better start to their day.

Happy Monday!
I'm going to run over to the bakery this morning and order the cake for BH's birthday. Definite perk of no morning commute!
LBB has his last baseball practice today. His regular coach can't make it, so DH is running practice. He ran practice last week too. It cracks me up since DH is not a baseball guy. He didn't even want to sign LBB up for baseball two years ago because he doesn't like it. Oh how far he's come.
We had a cold and rainy weekend, and now today is kind of warm and rainy. Blah. But we actually had a relatively good weekend despite DS being kind of a crank-a-potomus. I think being cooped up inside was not agreeing with him. I *think* we picked out a swing set for him though! We sent the form over to our HOA last night, and I'm pretty excited about it. Of course, H woke up this morning wondering if he's too young, should we wait, buy a smaller one, yada, yada, yada. He's working from home today so I'll be bringing him lunch and hopefully talking him back into the swing set - I think DS would have so much fun on it already this year!
The weather is FINALLY beautiful but now our entire house is sick, go figure!
My inlaws were here all weekend so today I have to clean, get groceries, and deal with DD1's "Grandma hangover". She's currently crying in her room because I didn't give her a bowl of whipped cream with her breakfast.
Happy Monday! Gloomy weekend and gloomy day today Regardless, the day started off well and I'm ready to delve into work.
I have a dinner date with one of my BFFs today and we are eating at one of my favorite restaurants! They have the best wood fired pizza and I'm prepared to stuff my face. Then after I get home H is out with his buddies for a beer and I'm on bedtime duty. It's typically how our mondays go.
H has a voucher for a free nights stay at a local hotel and we are thinking about redeeming it this weekend. Let the kids splash in the pool and mix some fancy drinks and order up some take-out. Just a break from the same old monotony. Hoping they have rooms available still!
I usually pick out daycare outfits for the whole week on the weekend so I can look at the weather forecast, try not to repeat the exact same outfits every week, etc. So I showed DD her outfit this morning and she cooperated and got dressed. I showed LO his outfit and it lead to all sorts of rage (for some reason he didn't like this shirt the last time he wore it either?). He looked at the outfits laid out for the other days this week and decided he wanted the Paw Patrol shirt but not the shorts that I had with it. I hope this is not a new trend because I don't have the patience for it.

H caught J pouring baby shampoo down his slide while I was at work the other day. At least he cleaned it up before I got home. Today is H's birthday, so J and I will need to head out to get a card, as well as stopping by my cardiologist's office for a couple of reports I need for work.

We had a nice long weekend in SoCal. Before heading back yesterday we went to Santa Monica beach and it was super nice out. It was G's second time at a real beach, the first being on her bday in Capitola and she hated walking on the sand. This time she had so much fun splashing around, running in and out of the water. It was adorable. And now I'm dreaming of a Hawaii vacation!

jillywilly - BH looooooves our swing set, so i definitely vote "not too young"
Widget123 - Clothing is not a battle I'm willing to wage. Both my kids pick out their own clothes. BH wants to wear his tie-dye shirt every day. I can't even fight with him about it. So if it's clean, he wears it.
Joolschweets - yay for being done with giving notice!
Morning! My company just announced a new parental policy leave! 4 weeks paid leave for moms and dads!! This is a huge step for our company! It's also retroactive which means I get four weeks too from having L within the past 12 monyhs!! Sorry for the excessive use of exclamation points, but this is big!
Just need to schedule time with my boss to make a plan for when I'll be out for my leave!
Jules keeps making me sing this stupid song with her. Any of your kids like that Johnny Johnny song? It's the worst. She has been singing so much lately, I love all her other songs.
I'm struggling with excessive anxiety today. Hoping a nice long walk at lunch will help filter out some of the negative thoughts.
This is me today too. Sending hugs your way and hoping some exercise will turn things around for both of us. I'm counting down until the kids bedtime so I can get out for a run.
I signed A up for swimming lessons today. He loves getting on his belly in the bath and waving his arms and feet in the water so I'm hoping that translates well to swimming. We'll see!
