Lately my life has been all about bodily fluids. Not mine - those of my children.
I need something to cheer me up to deal with it. Puke? You get a candy! Disaster poop? You get a pedicure! Snot while nursing (SO GROSS)? You get a 15m break from parenting!
Only I don't get a break, candy isn't good for me, and pedicures are too expensive and unnecessary for a daily occurrence.
I know, this is dumb. I've gone 3.25 years without a reward system. I don't need it. But these past few weeks have been sucking. So I want a pick me up.
Ounces of booze accumulated for the end of the day? A pile of scratch off tickets for each thing? A star chart for a fun prize/event? Chocolate chips? Is there a food that is healthy but a little spendy that you could "earn?"

Things on my own self care list:
- Play 15 minutes of a video game (the kids like watching/helping with this, too, so built in distraction level is high). - Go out and buy a latte. My kids like going out for drives, so also helps with kid distraction levels. - Pack/buy lunch to eat at the lake. - Listen to music that makes me feel good. 3eb and other 90's music, usually. - Coloring book, knitting, smashbooking. I set the kids up with art supplies and do my own thing while ignoring whatever mess their artistic expression is creating. I like doing this outside, weather permitting, because it helps for clean up. - Going for a walk or bike ride. - Going in my hot tub (or going in the shower and just standing in the water for a few minutes). - Painting my nails a fun color. - Spending money/buying something (usually go to the mall or something) - Cuddling one of my pets. - Making tea.
