Last night DS woke not being able to breathe despite me giving him a nebulizer treatment. We were able to get him calmed down and got him another treatment. We thought we were going to have to take him into the ER.
But that craziness woke both the girls. I slept in a bed with the girls and dh slept with ds in our bed. Now I am feeling sick and my BS is high.
We will be taking ds to the doctor today and spending a lot of time on the couch relaxing.
I slept in a little bit this morning, I am usually up on the elliptical around 5:30, but decided to stay in bed for 30 minutes longer. It's amazing what 30 minutes of extra rest can do.
I have so much going on at work lately, nothing bad, just SO much. We switched over to a new system and it's not fully functional yet, the financial aspect of it has been really rough and updating our job budgets and approving invoices now takes 5 times longer than before. It's......overwhelming.
H took the saran wrap off a 12 piece kids puzzle. There's a reason I left it on. Now I do that damn puzzle 2163736 times a day because W obviously can't do it...but loves it.
I started reading "Confessions of a Domestic Failure" last night. It's hilarious and totally me. It's like someone is sitting in my living room taking notes.
I had big lofty goals of at least starting to clean the house today. Picked up the puzzles while W was playing with his trucks. Then moved on to the blocks, so naturally he had to dump out all the puzzles. Then I moved on to the play food, so he had to dump out the blocks. Such a productive morning I've had so far. 15 min later and the playroom looks exactly the same.
I'm working from home today. I could use the distraction to keep my thoughts occupied but I don't feel ready to go into the office and talk to people yet.
Remember how I was obsessing over that job H applied to in a smaller city on the east coast? Well he has a phone interview for Friday! Yaaay!
Today is the first day that I don't feel completely awful. I'm still no where near 100 percent but I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I got an appointment for my car for next Tuesday. Prayers that is a quick and not too expensive fix. With everyone feeling crapy and my being gone 3 nights a week the house is a disaster. I'll probably start on getting through the laundry.
Today is DS2's 5th birthday!! He's been SO excited about it, but he was up until 2pm with a stomachache. I hope he feels better when he wakes up (yes, he's still sleeping at 9am). We're telling the kids about Disney today!
Also, I finally started my period for real. DH is looking into scheduling his snip today, lol
@traceyos I would get a second opinion. It sounds really dangerous to leave an infection in your head untreated for two weeks on the off chance that you may be pregnant.

We've entered the unnecessary bandaid stage of toddlerhood... but in a weird twist, Bill wants me to be the one to wear the bandaids (like if he gets a minor bump on his knee I have to be the one to wear the bandaid on my knee).
Also, this morning I caught him brushing his teeth with my toothbrush. I sort of feel like he's trying to single white female me.

Elena figured out a way to reach our glassware so I'm having a heart attack day and have moved the (rocking!) chair she used, as well as the glasses she could reach. Thankfully she just moved them around but I'm pretty much ready to tell my husband he has to take off work so we can get both kid rooms set up and everyone moved, so I can leave her in her guilded cage of a completely toddler-proofed room when I need to feed/nap Max.

catladymeow you can't move east! You have to stay put since I'm finally moving down there. It's just not okay. But good luck to him, I'll put my selfishness aside and hope he gets it.
I'm working at the clinic today and it's really boring. So many feet today. I just want to be home packing. I'm heading to lunch with a friend though so that's exciting.
Tomorrow is animal moving day! I'm driving 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a ton of junk to my parents house. H is staying home with the boys. I'm excited for time in the car to listen to books on tape, my parents are obsessed and always give us the ones they're done with so I have a ton waiting. Yay!

wineandcake find me a million dollars to buy a simple 3 bedroom house and I'll stay! You are moving to the KW area right? I think it's more reasonable over there.

this. Also, wasn't the abx only for 10 days? You'd be done with the course before you could even POAS. You are worrying about too many what-ifs. You know that you have an infection. You need to treat it. Your health comes first lady!
I'm trying to get schoolwork done. This is just terrible. If I graduate it might be a small miracle at this point. I am so far behind and the only support I have is the 2 hours I can drop the kids off at the Y every day. Procrastinating on TCF is also not helping!!

We took ds into the pediatrician late this morning. He has croup as we already knew. But with his asthma we like to have him seen. She gave us a steroid in case he needs it. But we have to be diligent about his treatments ever four hours.
In happy news viv has her tube surgery at the crack of dawn tomorrow! I cannot wait for her to start feeling better.
catladymeow I hope your H does well on his interview tomorrow.

Yep! We'll be in KW. When we're ready to buy we'll probably go to Cambridge or Fergus since it's cheaper there. Guelph isn't too bad of a commute to Toronto for you and much much cheaper than Toronto.
lovemyirishtwins I'm so glad he's okay! Poor little guy and poor mommy! @justinslovo yay!!! Eggs and avo sounds delish, so I don't blame her.
Would you make a pedi appointment based on your kid pulling his ear and saying ouch? Henry did this last night and this morning woke up with a boogery nose and slightly (very slightly) crusty eye. I made an appointment because last time I completely missed his severe double ear infection until daycare alerted me.
Someone who is verified on twitter for being a film/tv critic tweeted a picture from the new Murder on the Orient Express movie and complained that the title includes the word orient and yet there are no Asian people in it. True story.

Guelph would be at least 2 hours each way. The 401 into Toronto is NUTS at rush hour! I've been stuck on it when I have to rent a car for work (a few times a year). I know lots of people in southern Ontario commute 4+ hours a day but I just can't do it.
I haven't been to Cambridge but Fergus looked nice the one time I drove through it!
ETA: There are a gazillion things we love about living in Toronto though so leaving isn't a done deal yet though! And I certainly won't be gone by the time you get here so once you get settled let me know!

catladymeow that's insane! I guess I was thinking GO train commuting, but just realized the closest train would be Milton. You could just find jobs in KW instead, it's obviously a good idea.
