Advice requested from those who have gone before me: how did you handle bedtime? Did you put a bucket in the crib and hope they'd use it MOTN? Just accept the laundry to come and try not to worry about choking? Convince your husband to sleep on the floor of her room?

Yay for a good ultrasound!!
Boo for stomach bug. I usually just put them in bed and hope for the best. I keep some towels and paper towels in the room in case we're doing a motn cleanup. I'm not sure she could really coordinate a bucket at this age. I wouldn't worry about choking.
lawandorderjnetxelenetxu thanks! I ended up canceling the appointment because he seemed okay and Louis has been losing his mind all day. If I hadn't deleted the leap app from my phone, I bet there'd be a big stormy cloud for months to come... anyway Henry seems better so I'm just going to keep an eye on it. elenetxu I hope your little guy didn't have an infection.

My kids have had a ton of ear infections and only had a fever one or two times. My biggest sign is multiple wake ups in the night. I am glad you were able to cancel the appointment and he seems fine EmMilAlly!
@officedronette I always made sure I had things on hand like ashiscute said. As young as our kids are I don't think they would be able to get to the trash can in the middle of the night. Good luck!
Elena figured out a way to reach our glassware so I'm having a heart attack day and have moved the (rocking!) chair she used, as well as the glasses she could reach. Thankfully she just moved them around but I'm pretty much ready to tell my husband he has to take off work so we can get both kid rooms set up and everyone moved, so I can leave her in her guilded cage of a completely toddler-proofed room when I need to feed/nap Max.
Sorry I'm way behind but omg I must be #new because this just gave me a mini anxiety attack. But it was not until the end of your post when I realized if I ever have another newborn, R will be on the loose.
HOW DO ALL YOU MOMS WITH MORE THAN ONE KID MANAGE?!?!
You have all achieved ninja/magician/sainthood in my book.
I really hope this is just PMS...I am all over the place. Maybe it's stress related, or a combo.
My independent little boy does not want to be even left alone in a room while I grab his water or pee. I get that being in a full leg cast has to suck but kiddo, I left you in a comfy recliner watching pancake manor, life isn't all bad.
That looks like it could be useful in adult sizes. Dealing with a wet one piece when I need to urgently use the facilities is a top reason why I only wear two pieces.
Pull and hold the bottom/crotch to the side, do your business, wipe with non-holding hand, release.
Well, that [my attempt at quoting, not my attempt at bedtime] didn't work. lawandorder, "some towels and a prayer" made me LOL, because that is my right now.
The kids were somewhat underwhelmed by learning about going to Disney today, so that was kind of a let down. I can tell they're excited, but it's not a video that's going to go viral anytime Overall, I think DS2 had a great birthday. Now to start prepping for the girl's birthday!
