I'm counseling a mom who uses the Lact-aid right now (has been for 9 months) and really likes it. If you think you'll use it for a while, it's worth the investment.
The benefit to an SNS is that you're getting the nipple stimulation that triggers your body to produce more milk while also giving your baby the supplement. It saves a lot more time than triple feeding.

I don't actually want to increase my supply. I'm trying to find a way to get fluid into my 21 month old and nursing less has somehow seemed to help a smidge with weight gain. I tried the Lact-aid with pediasure today and it sucked. I wonder if it's too thick? I swear I saw reviews that people did it, and the nutritionist recommended it and the developmental ped ordered it. I wonder if I should try water. He's actually supposed to be on honey thick but somehow nursing is ok. He can't drink any other way and I think I'm basically just trying to make due til we can get a gtube in a few months. The whole thing is just a big mess.

Oh no! That sounds like a really difficult situation. I've never seen her use an SNS for anything other than formula. Definitely possible that it could be too thick. Did you ask your nutritionist if you're allowed to thin out the pediasure so it will fit through the tubing better? I really hope you find a solution soon!
