I volunteered to be on the board for my community band as music librarian. I just found out that the board approved the nomination, so I'm pretty happy about that. The reason we have the opening is because the current librarian has to move, so I'm a little worried about filling her shoes since she's been doing it for 18 years.
We were supposed to have soup for dinner tonight but it still isn't done and we are getting dangerously close to bedtime so I send H out for Cafe Rio. I'm hoping to keep the meltdowns at bay until he gets home.
I'm still at work *whomp whomp*, but I should be leaving soon. We are having dinner at my in-laws and I'm going to work out with my SIL while we are there. I started a new work out plan maybe 2-ish weeks ago and this is the first time I've really stuck to one. I'm excited!
Started today doing a talk with a high school class about my personal experience with the NICU and having a premature baby. The teacher asked me last week if it was something I'd be interested in doing last week and I was very honoured that she thought of me and wanted me to talk to her students!
So my daughter (almost 2) joined her brother at preschool today while I was busy with that and apparently LOVED it. Participated in everything and when I went there to pick them up she was standing in the front of the line with her backpack on so patiently like she's done it all year with the big kids, it looked so cute.
Community BBQ for lunch, and just got home from DS's tball practice, and I have some organizing to do with a friend tonight for the event we are hosting this weekend. Phew! 4 more days of the crazy and the event will be over and cleaned up.

The cafe rio crock pot chicken recipe has changed by life, amazing!
I haven't started watching it yet, but I did just finish rereading it a few weeks ago.
Is it good so far?
I haven't started yet, is the book good?
I think it's a good book. Some parts can be a bit hard to read, just because of the nature of the book. It made me even more uneasy rereading it, just with the political climate.

Not sure how much you know about the plot, but I'll go ahead and point out that the IF triggers are everywhere. The entire story is basically a big IF trigger. But otherwise SO GOOD.

Another busy day under my belt! This morning, my parents picked me up and I finally got to get my bow out of purgatory for some training! Turns out, I'm not half bad and have pretty good posturing for a beginner :-D I can't wait to go out again, and bring H with me so he can finally try out his bow. I already told him that his first rule is "don't point your arrow at your spouse" lol.
After shooting, we went to the hardware store and picked up all the wood for my new loft bed, yay! Took a little longer, and was a bit more expensive than I anticipated, ick. Ah well.
Had a late lunch, then headed up to my best friends place to use the saw. Got everything cut down in record time, and headed back to my place to start putting everything together. Wound up only getting the legs done and then had an argument because no one understood what anyone else was talking about, which led us to agree to lay down the wood in the empty apartment next door, which led to my husband deciding to call our landlord about that apartment this weekend. Fun!
Then we all went out to supper at an Irish pub, where I celebrated my last day of vacation, boo!
Currently tucked up in bed waiting for sleepies to hit me so I'm not totally useless tomorrow.

Do you have a link? I would love to try it. I have a crock pot shredded beef recipe that I add BBQ sauce to so it's sweet beef that we like.

I totally posted and ran. I was sitting at my sister's dance lesson. Bored. She is a good dancer though. I'm excited to attend her recital, last year's was amazing.
