DS2 STTN last night which was amazing. Not that I actually feel rested, but I'll take it.

I need to hit up the mall today to buy work clothes since I hear not lost any weight. Womp womp. Tomorrow is family pictures. And hopefully a Caps win tonight!

Good morning!

We are at swimming. Both boys are in lessons now. MH is in the pool with G. So far so good 😃 . N is watching his brother, whichnisngoing to be an issue if he doesn't pay attention. He's already thrown a fit about trying a smaller bubble. From here, we're going to Day Out with Thomas. N is very excited to ride on Thomas the tank engine. I just hope the weather clears up soon. If we get back early enough, I may try to go to the outlets near the house. They are hosting an artisan fair on the first Saturday of the month through the summer.

Lil P's 6 month appt is today. I rescheduled it for 130 but they called and moved it back to 11. That means no yoga today and I'm super upset about it. I feel like a little kid.

iwantbacon, yay for more sleep! Hear you on the clothes. I have no summer work clothes atm but I'm trying to hold out until June to see if I make some progress.

penguin129 I hate it when appointments change the schedule day-of. You make us schedule weeks in advance but expect us to be able to change at a few hours notice?

Cleaning while DS takes the longest morning nap ever. Tonight the girls and I are going out for wine & canvas, which really means ginger ale and canvas here, but I'm looking forward to getting some artsy time.

We're cleaning house today, it's a mess. Having friends over for dinner because it's gorgeous out. They have two girls the same ages as ours. DH is making pulled pork in the slow cooker and I'm trying a beet and quinoa veggie burger recipe.

So much cleaning and packing all morning. Our house is looking good. Took the kids for a walk and picked up lunch. About to head outside to do some yard work.

Both kids are down for a nap. I'm debating going grocery shopping now (MH is home) or tomorrow early AM. I was really in the mood for a tuna sandwich, so I made one then went to put DD down. Came back downstairs and the dog had jumped on the counter and ate it. I have no tuna left ☹️

Despite having terrible sounding breathing and congestion, DS slept 10 hours straight last night. He sounded terrible when he got up, so I brought him to the doctor. I returned home with our very first nebulizer, 5 boxes of albuterol, and a bottle of Zyrtec. Using a nebulizer on a 7 month old busy body is not fun.

I'm trying to prep for the party tomorrow, but it's slow going. Our fence is almost halfway up and I love it!

I worked last night. Managed to get a decent sleep from 8am-1pm. DS is out somewhere with my MIL. DH is fixing a friends shower. Groceries are bought. That's it. Oh and it's still raining. In like week 2 of straight rain. I need to build an ark.

I went for a run this morning and reported some indoor plants. Haircuts for DS1 and DD and dinner at Olive Garden after naps. I'm hoping tomorrow to have the kids paint some flower pots for the Grandmas for mother day. I have the paint but no pots so the project is contingent on getting to the store during nap time tomorrow.

Talk to me about croup. DD1 had it bad once as a baby and they put her in steroids. I'm pretty sure the baby has it (that barking cough) but is only occasionally coughing and it doesn't seem to be bothering her much. Do I have to take her in?

I'll probably call the nurses line but they tend to always say bring them in just in case.

Usually it's the barky cough only at night. Second night is worse than the first. Then it turns into a regular old cold. In my experience, if the steamy bathroom or outside air does not relieve the barky cough or it's pretty barky during the day, then they'll put them on steroids. Have a humidifier going and try to keep him low key because it gets worse when they're worked up. Its usually only upper airway, bit just because im crazy, watch for respiratory distress, google retracting.

DD2s 530 wake up, feed, and go back down until 730 has slowly been inching back to 415 wake up, feed, and go back down until 615.
DH is taking dd1 food shopping and for a bike helmet. He's gonna put her bike together today. I hope it's fun. I feel like anytime we try something new that we think is going to be fun and amazing, it's hard for her and she gets frustrated or something that ends in tantrums and whining. We'll see.
I'm catching up on house stuff.
We went out to eat last night as a family. It was a little crazy but definitely an experience. Then we went for a walk.

Family photos done--they went better than i thought. I look forward to having them done when DS2 can move around too.

Gotta love the sick cuddles though. She's so wiggly now it's nice to just have her snuggle up and be still.

I survived a house full of insanity today. 12 kids, plus my own. It was chaos, but the kids seemed to have fun, and my house is still in one piece. I had kind of been regretting choosing to have the party at our house, but I realized today that we are fortune that we did because if we'd had the party at the bowling alley or the bounce house place, my birthday girl wouldn't have even been able to do the activities because of her injury - that would have been terrible!

Hey y'all. I feel like I'm finally getting a chance to relax and it's Sunday night already. My parents ended up coming this weekend, and they were here when I got home from work. We went straight out to eat and then rest of the weekend has been busy with regular housework and entertaining. I did get to take a nap today though, so I guess I can't complain too much. My kids' naps overlapped!! So I got an hour in.

I took DS1 to his very first swim lesson yesterday. He...didn't get in the pool at all. So. Yay. We should have started him earlier, but life. Oh well I guess. Hopefully it gets better.

I have tomorrow off!! I have a lot to do around here, but I'm hoping to spend some time on O16 too!

Do you ladies let your little ones sleep with a lovey? They drill it so hard into us that you can't have anything at all in the crib until their like 2 years old, but DS loves to snuggle with things, even a burp cloth. If he's fussing in the middle of the night, DH will give him a clean burp cloth and he's grab it and pass right out.

He never sleeps in our pack n play at home - only in his crib for naps and night. We only use the pack n play as a safe place to put him if we need to get stuff done. He likes playing with toys in it and has never fallen asleep in it. This morning his lovey monkey was in there with him and he passed out. I'd love to put it in his crib with him at night, but I'm afraid to because of how paranoid all these strict guidelines have made me.

jwinct we leave a couple things in the crib with the baby. Not pillow or stuffed animals, but taggies and chew rings. They are usually ignored and I've never been concerned about them.

I used a swaddle with my first and a blanket with this baby. It has knitted holes but still- it's much larger than that monkey. I guess they could always put it over their face at night, but it's just what you're comfortable with. My kid hollers if he gets tangled in the blanket in any way.

jwinct mine sleeps with a small fleece receiving blanket sooo....

My oldest did too actually.

jwinct, first off, that picture just melted my heart. Second, I let DS nap with his elephant plushie/beanbag thing. I don't give it to him at night for the same paranoid reasons as you, but I *think* he'd be fine with it at night. He just likes having something to hold to as well, when he's sleepy at nap time, DS feels better rubbing it all over his face.
