Let's all commit to doing something for ourselves today. Either something big - getting out of the house alone, an exercise class, coffee with a friend - or something small, like putting on an extra TV show for the kids so you can stretch, or loading them up in a stroller and then putting on your headphones and ignoring them - or something tiny, like splurging on a coffee drink you usually wouldn't, or meal planning for YOUR favorite meal which no one else likes much.
M is feeling better this morning and it is amazing.
A works Saturdays, so it is a regular weekday for me. But my cousins are coming over for dinner later, and I'm making a wheat berry salad that I am pretty excited about.
That's not very good. I will think of something else.
I just took H for a long walk in the stroller for the first time since fall. Apparently it was soothing- she's asleep, and I have her parked in the front yard while I sit on the porch drinking tea.

I didn't sleep a wink last night because of a situation that causes me so much stress and sadness. My husband and I took the baby over to my mom's this morning and we had coffee on the deck in the sunshine while baby played. That felt nice, but later this afternoon I'm planning to take a magazine and cup of coffee down to the guest bedroom and read for a bit before hopefully having a nap.
I'm hanging out with my BFF and making fondant cupcake toppers for her sister's baby shower. I love doing crafty things and never have time to do them, so this definitely counts. Also I shaved my legs for the first time in forever
I'm going to see Amelie on Broadway tonight with SIL. My inlaws were supposed to come babysit but with MIL's cancer diagnosis this week, obviously they couldn't make it. So DH offered up how ticket (he didn't want to go anyways...) to watch the girls so I can still go.
H and M both took a super long nap this afternoon.
During their nap I cooked (hamburger buns, rhubarb upside down cake, wheat berry salad with cranberries and goat cheese), and prepped for the rest of dinner.
Cooking without someone on my back in the carrier, or yelling or crying or tugging on me is SO FANTASTIC.

I had got some seeds into the earth and protected my tomato seedlings with plastic bottle greenhouses in preparation for a possible frost overnight (grrr). I also took a long hot bath after dinner. My muscles are sore from a new workout yesterday, so it was perfect.
