Going to a playdate with some DC friends. I'm exhausted wish I could stay home and just send H. I also found a dinning room table on fb hoping it fits in SUV.
My mom and I drove up to Columbus today so I could deliver a diaper care package. We're killing time until 5 when the Italian restaurant opens. Right now we're checking out one of their play cafes. Super different than ours at home.
Trying to take it easy over here. Though H needs to take care of a downed tree, so that probably means solo parenting for a while. Duke was out at midnight to top it since it was hanging over the power lines. The dog spotted them and went crazy. Luckily boys didn't wake, but I'm so tired this morning.
Bub and I ran errands this morning to give H a little break. Got some supplies to start working on the closet in the baby's room. ILs are coming tomorrow and they love to help with projects so I figured today is a good day to start.
On my way home, got a call from a window salesman saying he had an appointment with us and had just rung the doorbell and thought we weren't home. So I called H and he groggily told me "He's not supposed to be here until noon." It was 11:57. When I got home H was signing the contract because this company can do the back door and all the windows for less than half what the first company quoted us for just windows. So I'm happy about that, and really relieved that H just took care of it and I didnt have to sit through the sales pitch. It's the same company that did the siding and gutters on our old house so I think we got some kind of repeat customer discount.

It's kind of like a mini Totter's Otterville if anyone has been there. Not as fancy I guess, no climbing structure. Kind of like a daycare classroom. I'll see if I can take a picture not awkwardly in a minute

Hey ladytiffany24! I missed you yesterday, so I'm catching up in here! I'm glad to hear you all are adjusting to being a family of 4 pretty well! I watch a baby a few hours a week now and I can see the difference in DD in just those few hours. So whenever we decide to have a 2nd, I'm sure it'll be fun with the jealousy. Lol and yes, I'm pretty sure the pregnant ones outnumber the non pregnant ones now lol
We are meeting SIL and her kids at KI today and then she is taking DD home for a "sleepover" at their house. So we are kid free tonight! We are going to dinner and may brave the cold and put some hoodies on and go back to KI kid free.
lindsay gl to yh tomorrow! Sorry everyone is feeling yucky tho. mominthemaking14 we don't know any of the other parents/kids at dc, and no one's inviting us to play dates lol. Guess we aren't very social butterflies around there.

vlagroupie I'm sure she has a bestie at school. Just ask the front desk if the parents shared their information and you just text or Facebook them. From their the kids do the rest lol
The baby was up all night long so I let H sleep and I was up 4-7 straight and then he let me sleep 7-10. I could have slept to noon. I had to watch the kids while he tried to do a project and then we headed to my sisters. I had both kids down for naps and took a shower. Well the big wouldn't nap just yelled from his room so I showered anyway. Got out and the baby was crying. H was at Home Depot. Oh well. I tried. Then we went to derby party.

Sometimes you just gotta let them scream and cry. No permanent damage done.

H had to work all day, so that sort of sucked. Five years ago H and I went to the derby and then ran the Pig the next day. That was the last and only time we've done either. Someday we'll do that again!

I'd like to go to the derby someday. I have exactly zero desire to ever run anything. I loathe, like, really, really dislike running. I've never in my life enjoyed it even a little.
Omg you guys. I'm sorry all I do is complain recently. I'm just soooo done. My whole head feels like it's a brick with how congested I am. I just took some Benadryl, Tylenol and robutussin and am praying for some relief and sleep. Calling the dr in the AM to see if it's worth going to urgent care to get prescribed something stronger, I'm pretty sure it's a sinus infection so maybe.

Maybe some Claritin D or Sudafed? They're on the approved list and it might help with the pressure and dry you up some.

I don't understand twins but I understand pain and pregnancy. Sometimes it's really all that's in your mind is how badly you feel. I'm so sorry. Try to do whatever keeps you comfortable.
oh lindsay you can't catch a break I'm so sorry. It is def worth asking the doc. I had horrible sinus pain and congestion the night before rcs. I really wish I had gotten something strong to clear everything up bc I was miserable for weeks after. Hope you get some relief.
In-laws have arrived. They're downstairs checking out the bouncy house and I hear MIL asking H about us having a third baby. Jesus. I'm glad I'm not down there. H told her if needed a Csection I'd get my tubes tied. MIL has opinions about elective Csections, which led to H making the comment "I don't see how the recovery could be any worse than the last one with all the tearing she had..." Jesus. I'm glad I'm not down there. I always just blamed their lack of boundaries on being medical professionals. MIL was a L&D nurse like 40 years ago
lindsay I hope you find some relief. I wish I had some suggestions. Would hot steam feel nice? Maybe try to take a bath, or run a really hot shower and just sit in the bathroom?
Hot tub offer still stands if you want to come use it, but when it's at a safe temp there's not really steam.
