We are going to monster trucks this afternoon. R will be super excited. He disappointed that his dad is missing it but we have friends going too so that will be good. Until then we are just relaxing.
C and are are getting dressed and will be picking up doughnuts on the way to church. Today is the day DH and his group will begin their trip home. I have a lot of laundry to fold this afternoon since tomorrow I'll be unpacking the truck and doing a whole bunch more laundry!
We started our day by finding and returning a wandering dog in the neighborhood. Now we're off to say goodbye to SIL's "baby" chicks and hang out at a brewery and let the kids run around in their big open field.

Meeting up with a bunch of my single mom friends so that we can help each other's kids shop for Mother's Day. Then probably heading up to the mountains for our favorite mini train park.
We inadvertently planned a bunch of cooking today, but then ended up doing reeeaaaaalllllyyyy slow walking errands this morning. So now it's noon and we haven't even started cooking. But we did clear off a bunch of bakery related things from the porch, which gives us room to hang out out there. We brought Ms water table out there and she's making us tea "with just a little bit of dirt."
Spent the morning cleaning up from mh's massive birthday bash and crawfish boil. Now having coffee on the patio while the girls run around barefoot. Sometimes life is so good.
I have been letting the goats have access to the back yard this weekend because it is a pain to mow and they had eaten down the pasture so much that a couple were getting out at every opportunity to eat what was on the other side of the fence despite my best efforts. While we were at church some goat decided to push over the fence to the garden and ate half of the potato plants, 1/3 of the green beans, and one of my two tomato plants. I'm so bummed.

I had to call poison control this afternoon. DD1 got into DH's car and ate some zinc cold therapy tablets (zicam). They said she may get an upset stomach but she should be fine. Never a dull day around here.

Oh no!! Hope she's doing ok!
She's doing fine. I don't think the guy knew what to tell me because it's a homeopathic preventive. But she hasn't had any ill effects. It's been expired for 18 months too. Probably weakened it some.

We were out of town for a few days until yesterday, so today I tried to clean the house, do some chores, and pick up groceries. It wasn't a very exciting day around here.
Yesterday we went to the annual Goat Race and Bock fest a local brewery holds. My friends and I run the facepainting booth every year (this is our 6th) and it's always a good time. We come and drink beer and paint little kids in the morning and drunk adults in the afternoon and make a little funny money. It was kind of a miserable day, 50's and drizzling on and off, but it still had a good turnout and we made a nice amount of cash (some of which is going toward buying a family zoo pass). J brought Nugget and she had a fun time wandering around and petting the dogs and goats and getting muddy. Our friends brought their toddler who is a month older and the two girls had fun together. I think her favorite part was when they were closing down and dumped all the ice out of the ice tubs and she got to play in it. It was a long day, but nice.
