I must have done something really bad recently, because my karma has been rough this week. Pink eye plus allergies plus a cold is just torturous when combined with pregnancy.

When I was at my A/S yesterday the tech kept saying we would confirm the sex from my blood work I had done first tri. I was like, "is that really necessary? Is there a chance it could be wrong?"
Apparently, there have been some cases where it has been wrong and one in particular in that office. The last had gotten a bone marrow transplant and it caused her results to be wrong. The others just fell in that small percentage of .ooo1 (just made that number up but you get my point, right?) Anyways, I thought it was interesting. We are still team pink btw!
I have heard of False girls from the blood test, but that it is more accurate if the bloodwork shows it's a boy. That is what a nurse I work with told me, so I can't back my source!

Yes, that makes sense. As Rajah was saying, if any Y chromosomes are present, baby is DEFINITELY a boy (because females do not have Y chromosomes). But if only X chromosomes are found, baby is only most likely a girl -- there's a possibility not enough fetal cells were in the sample (so still a chance it's a boy). Correct me if I'm wrong, Doc RajahMD 😉

On our way back from my parents. Ugh. My sister and I were in charge of all the kids this am (8 kids under 11). I'm drained. We basically spent all day outside. Most of the kids are good kids but one of my nephews is a wild one. And we were on a farm. It was exhausting.....

Omg MH goes totally crazy nuts about the lawn and he just cannot get it to grow...it looked great two years ago but then we had a drought and it just never rebounded. And it's getting worse...and he's completely obsessed. I don't know anything about lawns (and only sort of care) so I can't help and don't know what would change things anyway...so instead it just destroys our weekends with him getting angrier and angrier over it. He even knows he's being crazy but can't help himself. Sigh. I love him bc he cares...but I kind of wish he cared a bit less!

I'm so freaking sore. I don't really know why. I had to sprint after wild nephew today and kind of think maybe that is why. I'm not in shape at all. But it's my pelvic area that is sore. I took a bath and a now vegging out in bed.
Woke up at 6 today because my hips hurt. Stupid pregnancy sleep. Really need a pillow.
Last pregnancy, I just put a throw pillow from our couch between my knees when I slept. That seemed to help me anyway -- kept my hips aligned. Just an idea if you're not wanting to buy a fancy pregnancy pillow. Plus it didn't take up half of our queen-sized bed 😉

I've been using a pillow but maybe it's too small or thin?

Yeah, could be. Try a fluffier pillow or maybe fold the one you have in half (if you can)? Your hip joints loosen allowing your hips to widen a bit during pregnancy, for obvious reasons, so a pillow that's fluffy enough to keep your hips in alignment while you sleep may help. Now that I am thinking about this, I may try sleeping with my boppy pillow between my knees. That could work like a mini pregnancy pillow. Maybe?
ETA I'm no expert on this subject, so if the pillow doesn't work for you, perhaps others have different ideas. Maybe ask your doc at your next checkup too.

I LOVE my pregnancy pillow...I went back and forth for weeks and then finally did it and it's been life changing. I got the Leachco back n belly, it's not as expensive as the snoogle and you can turn in the night without changing it. It does take up a decent amount of space in our queen, but it's totally worth it.

Thanks all. I tried the folded pillow but must have lost it halfway through the night. I googled the leachco and still pricy. May just get body pillow that is stiff...we will see
I'm thinking of filing harassment charges on my neighbors. I can't even go in my backyard without them coming outside and harassing me. Yesterday the guy called me an idiot and a dumbass bc my dog was outside with me. The last time the guy's brother and girlfriend stood on the fence yelling at me and telling me that because I rent I'm nothing but trash. I was like, wth is wrong with you people?! All of this happens in front of my kids too. Apparently, they hate my dog bc he plays with their dog at the fence. They run and bark and pee towards each other. I personally don't see what's wrong with it but that guy says his dog has a hurt knee and he doesn't want to pay for surgery. I'm not sure how that is my fault? Or my responsibility to keep his dog from running the fence. I had to call the police on him once and they told him I'm doing nothing wrong but he still insists on yelling at me when I'm outside. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Also, my dog is literally outside a total of 15 minutes per day and his is outside all day long. I can't wait for him to take his dog inside before I let mine out. He would never get to go outside.

leviosa your neighbor is an ass. It's scary when neighbors act like that, too, people get crazy with their property and "domain" for some reason. I see it all the time in court. Be careful! And definitely file especially if things feel unsafe, at least in my experience around here, the police take enforcement of harassment prevention orders very seriously and so it's a good tool to have. Sorry you're dealing with that!

wannabmama, what really pisses me off is that he never bothered to talk to me about what was bothering. He just went straight to crazy on me. I was baffled because when we first moved in we had a cordial relationship.

DH and the kids are baking me a cake. DS banished me upstairs and told me I can have some time alone while the work on my "surprise". Oh I'm also only supposed to come down when DS or DH tells me too. DS then came upstairs to check on me to make sure I can't hear them. I'm giggling at how sweet DS and how much he wants to surprise me. He's such a sweet boy.

Happy Mother's Day all! We celebrated by going to urgent care because DS had blood in his urine. UTI. awesome. But we are picking up dinner from our local texmex joint on the way home, and MH got me some flowers in the pharmacy when picking up the antibiotics. So I am a happy mama

I was woken up this morning by my daughter walking into our room carrying a giant gift bag and saying "mum mum mum mum mum" and it was the cutest damn thing in the whole wide world. I still am in awe that I get to celebrate Mother's Day.
leviosa, caybeh, mambo, it was so sad. Poor thing was having an accident every 5 mins on Saturday and I was so frustrated that we were backtracking on his PT. Could not figure out what was going on. Then Sunday he woke up from his nap crying inconsolably, after only 30 mins. Looked in his diaper and it was all pink
Still not sure what could have caused it, but he is on antibiotics and back to school today. Seems happy enough (kids are so resilient!)
