@justinslovo dying at pointy Madonna boob! I'm doing okay - fever and aches are gone. My boob didn't really ever hurt much, but the small amount of soreness is gone I think. Thanks for checking on me!
In more positive news at 9 weeks DD's fussiness is magically gone. She sleeps 7:30 to 7:00 most nights so that may have something to do with it.
But yeah, it's like a switch flipped and now she's just all smiles and happy. Guess my girl needed sleep but her tummy wouldn't let her before.
A was a happy newborn but a switch flipped around 4.5 weeks. Now she is so fussy whenever she's not napping. I am hoping that I see a flip like you have soon, if this new formula doesn't do it sooner.
I saw that you had switched. Does the spit up kind make a difference? DD spits up a lot too but now that I burp her every oz she doesn't fuss.
E had given me two nights with 6 hour stretches (of course I only slept about 3 1/2 of that). Last night she went back to 3 hour stretches and thought the 3 am wake up was a good one to have some awake time too.
She's just finally napping after being up for 2 1/2 hours. I've got to shower and finish getting some thank you cards addressed and in the mail.
Weather is gorgeous here this week so I'll probably get in a walk and then try to do some things around the house.

Contemplating burning my office building to the ground. There was a mouse in my office. My brother is taking his sweet fucking time getting here to help me. I jumped into my chair and yelled at it whenever it showed itself. It ran under the door that goes to the basement. I barricaded it with a folded up pack n play that will never be used again. Currently sitting on my desk waiting for my brother to get here and move a trap to the space between the pnp and wall.
@priss08 that is awful you got in an accident! It sounds like it was a pretty big one of you are cut up and the car was totaled. I'm so sorry and hope you feel better soon. Also yay for a sleeping happy baby!!
bookish I hope it was just the dog too! Bugs are horrible, especially ticks Also, we started listening to more kid friendly music when they started talking but honestly we still listen to stuff that's probably inappropriate we just added more Disney music we like and songs from musicals. Plus it's adorable listening to your kid belt out Adele
. did you ever get help with the poop stain question? If you get the garment wet and leave it in the sun for a few hours, it will often magically disappear. I didn't believe it till I tried it, it is truly amazing!
As for me, I got a nasty cold sore so I had to re schedule my dentist appointment. I've only had a few in my life and of course I get one when I have a newborn. 😡 Also, I think my third degree tear that didn't heal is not infected. I finally looked at it and decided to call my doc asap. It's not pretty. Hoping it's not too serious by the time I go tomorrow and can be fixed with some abx.
We have been working a lot on a schedule this week and it's paying off! We dropped a night wake up so now I only have 1 and naps are pretty good.

My brother and DH think I overreacted. I think they are jerks.
So I've been having pain where I think I had my epidural. I can't be 100% sure but it seems like that area. So I have an appt tomorrow with my ob. They had me talk to the anesthesiologist and they don't seem concerned but are pushing for an mri just in case. I'm really hoping it's just normal back pain but who knows.
1 month appt in an hour. Opened a bank account for the baby this morning.
For those of you with older kids, when did you stop listening to your music in the car and start listening to kid bop? I was jamming out to "Crash into me" by DMB this morning and then had the realization that my almost 2 year old likes to repeat things now....
my DD1 just turned 4 and I still listen to regular music. sometimes we listen to Moana, etc.
babies are 3 months old and start daycare in 2 weeks. they are so fun - smiling and N started laughing yesterday. big sis turned 4 on Saturday and we seemed to have finally gotten thru her horrible sleep regression. getting rid of the toddler bed and buying her a twin bed helped.
I went to the pharmacy to see if there was anything over the counter to help with reflux. Nope. Nothing without a prescription for his age. So frustrating.
Grape water doesn't help at all.
I called the pediatricians office and got us an earlier appt for this coming Monday.

Thats great news!
What did you use to help with her tummy?
I burp her a lot. Like after every oz or half oz. I've also been using gas drops and they seemed to have helped a lot. I also premix her bottles, shake them and store in the fridge so she doesn't suck in so many bubbles.

I really Hope you get some help for your little guy. You guys have had a hard go of all this.
erinshelley21 Not an overreaction. I would have vacated the premises and refused to go back in for the day. jnow I hope it is just unrelated back pain! My toddler insists on picking out his pjs that are shorts every night no matter the temperature and where in the drawer I hide them. . So awesome!! Pre-kids, I would go and greet the honor flights every few months. It is so much fun and the vets are always beaming and appreciative. As for the formula, if it were me, I'd bring the new stuff unless A is used to the nursettes...the ready made stuff and the powder I swear made DS1 react differently.

Thanks. We do the burping every half oz (while he is screaming in my ear) and also keep him elevated and upright for 30-45mins after every feed.
But we still have major issues with it
Really happy your girl is better now. What a relief for both of you.
