This check in is for all SAIFers with an infant 4-12 months. If you’re new to SAIF or the check in, just join right in and please tag disneykate so I can add you!
2. Achievements/happy moments from the week? She's really getting mobile and starting to want our dog to hang out with her. Our dog, however, has been told NO so many times when she gets in the baby's face that she's not sure what to think at this point
3. Challenges? Oh man, well she was up more than half the night the other day, screaming inconsolably. It was terrible. And going to work the next day was the pits. We gave her some tylenol right before bed last night and she actually had a great night. So I'm not sure what was up, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not the last time...
4. How are the adults doing? We were doing great until the screaming! She'd been waking for her pacifier a lot the previous few nights, so we were both tired from that, too. The sleep disturbances have me a little worried about my anxiety getting out of control again. I slept in a separate room last night and DH agreed to just get me up if she woke up. I've been doing so much better lately and I'm afraid of slipping back into insomnia hell.
5. Got a cute pic from this week to share? We were trying on her outfit I bought for June family pictures. I can't believe how red her hair looks!!
QOTW: Do you collect anything? Nope! We have enough stuff that we just don't get around to going through and tossing, I can't imagine purposefully stocking up on things just to take up space
Thank you for the check in disneykate. How was your trip?
1. Age this week? 6 1/2 months
2. Achievements/happy moments from the week? We moved the twins into separate bedrooms. We now have room to move about and they are sleeping much better.
3. Challenges? None right now
4. How are the adults doing? Good- we are happy with this better sleep!
5. Got a cute pic from this week to share?
QOTW: Do you collect anything? I collect Christmas Ornaments from where I travel.

Omg I have a 10 month old!! It's just going too fast!
M is crawling everywhere and cruising using all the furniture. I think he might try to take a step soon. His first tooth broke through Sunday and it's soooo cute! He's been eating solids so much better lately I've been BF less.
He's actively teething so nights aren't fun without meds.
We are ok. Dh has 3 more weeks of work so we are trying to save money for when he's done. Our house is also on the market, so that's fun!
Qotw. I was collecting fox stuff since I was a 3t fall fox, but have kind of stopped. I do collect autographs of famous people. I have quite a bit Kurt Cobain and Nirvana signed stuff along with smashing pumpkins, Michael Jackson and R.E.M.

peaseblossom55 , I also collect shot glasses from places I've visited. Winnifred , Aww, she is so cute. Sorry for the rough nights. I hate it when they are inconsolable. Becca , Our trip was great! Emma was very well behaved and a hit with the staff. DH surprised me by upgrading to a mini-suite that gave us access to a private restaurant and pool area on the ship. tikoberry99 , Omg, his face is just adorable. I'm glad he has warmed up to solids. Good luck with teething- I'm not looking forward to when Emma finally gets her first tooth.
1. Age this week? 9.75 months
2. Achievements/happy moments from the week? Emma has started "waving". She holds her arm out and opens and closes her hand. She seems to be more vocal lately though still just random consonant sounds and I can't get her to repeat after me.
3. Challenges? We had a very long day last Saturday when Emma woke up at 12:30 am having difficulty breathing, crying, and barking like a seal. I panicked for a minute or two before I remembered we have a nebulizer for her and set her up with an albuterol treatment. That calmed Emma down but she still was wheezy so we called the pediatrician on call and ended up going to he ED. She was diagnosed with croup and got a dexamethasone shot and some more nebulizers and they continued to observe her in the ED. We got to the ED at 1:45 am and she wasn't discharged until 9:30 am. Meanwhile, I had to work at the hospital from 7-3:30 and couldn't really call in because it's such a hassle to get coverage on the weekend. I was so tired after doing a full shift on 1.5 hours of sleep!
4. How are the adults doing? Better now that I've caught up on some sleep and Emma is no longer barking.
5. Got a cute pic from this week to share? Emma and her buddy Wilson
QOTW: Do you collect anything? As mentioned above, I collect shot glasses. I also collect blown glass animal figurines.

disneykate, shot glasses are fun to collect. Most places have shot glasses. Did you have trouble finding them in any place? I had issues finding them in China, I had to get one from Hard Rock Café in Beijing.

No, I haven't had any issues finding them, though I have only looked in the US and Caribbean. When I went to Europe in high school I hadn't started collecting yet.

1. 8.5 months
2. DD is now crawling and pulling up to her knees. She's been close for so long and finally decided she wanted to crawl when I moved my coffee cup away from her. Girl wanted some coffee! She's also started to "wave" at people. She'll put her arm up and get this huge grin, but no actual waving. It's too cute. Also, she did amazing on the plane ride. Such a good girl!
3. Challenges? Sleep has been hard. We were out of town for a funeral and it was impossible to get her to nap unless I was holding her, so that was tough. We're also having some breastmilk issues over here. Our stupid fing cat somehow managed to open the freezer while we were away. So I lost 35-40oz of milk. I have nothing to send to daycare on Monday. DD is really not feeling the hypoallergenic formula her allergy doctor told me to get to supplement. So Monday should be interesting. I'm hoping I can pump a bit extra to add to it for better taste (it smells disgusting... nu.tra.migen).
4. Freaking out about the lost milk since I don't have any back-up now. Also had a rough week. Funeral was for my FIL, so MH has been overwhelmed with trying to help his mom.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
1. Age this week? 33 weeks! She'll be 8 months in a week!
2. Achievements/happy moments from the week? Baby girl has really started towards feeding herself a little. She now brings the bottle to her mouth when we offer it! Also, she does this little head shaking adorable thing whenever she gets excited! It's super cute!
3. Challenges? My supply has been waning drastically. We are at about half formula half breast milk now. Also, we are trying to figure out when we should introduce different foods in her diet and also trying to get her to use a sippy cup.
4. How are the adults doing? I'll be better once this school year is over. This whole working mom thing sucks when it keeps you from your little one.
mg0202, thanks! Honestly I have no real idea what was going on that night. She's had a really snotty nose and I kind of wonder if maybe her throat hurts, too. I am sick again and it started with a horrible sore throat which was the worst overnight. IDK. She's slept through the night every night since! I hope your uninterrupted nights come back ASAP!
remylove1011, I'm sorry for your loss and for the rough week! DD is totally adorable, though!
