Just work for me. I'm sitting on the floor in the hallway eating breakfast because the baby is asleep in our bed and I don't want her to crawl off when she wakes up.
These were at the coffee shop yesterday so I went ahead and bought them for Father's Day (they're dish towels):

Well our offer didn't get picked. A little bummed but it just means the right house for us is still out there.
Our listing went up last night. We worked so hard yesterday to get everything done.
We have DS's baptism tomorrow morning and an open house in the afternoon. My sister is going to host brunch and we'll hang out at her place all afternoon. No plans Sunday which will be nice. We've been so busy lately.
Friiiiiiday!!! Last night was frustrating with DS1 testing limits, DH losing his patience with him, me losing my patience for both of them. I think we are all just overwhelmed by work and life.
No plans for today except finish reading a book, get through work day, and stop at Target with the kids.
I have an assignment to work on for the paper and need to pick up some things to work on it. The meeting last night kept me entertained and I didn't want to leave. You might be a budding journalist if you find yourself getting excited over a land use/zoning map debacle.
We might have a small get together to go to tomorrow. Our close family friend invited Mr. P's family to her house. We didn't get an official invite so I think I'm going to text and ask. If we don't go to that a friend of Big P's has a birthday party tomorrow.

fem, that first towel is perfect. hikingmama222, sorry about the house, but I'm sure the perfect one is out there. @holachica, that exhibit sounds like so much fun. iwantbacon, that seems to happen in our house at least once a week. Hugs to you. penguin129, LOL. I've sat through land use and zoning appeals in court, and they are as interesting to me as watching paint dry. I'm glad you're enjoying your assignments.
Quiet night for us. N took his medicine with no issue and went right to bed. G cried out in his sleep a couple times, but not enough to require me getting out of bed. This morning, N asked me why he had to take his medicine again this morning. "I took it last night, Mommy, and I feel better today." I swear if it wasn't for the throat culture, you'd never know the kid was sick. The boys have swimming tomorrow (N will have had 4 doses of antibiotics, so he hopefully should be fine to go in). I'm hoping to run to Ulta and Kohl's and maybe get a pedicure. A nor'easter is coming through tomorrow with lots of rain and wind, so my hopes to go to a baseball game on Sunday are dashed.
hikingmama222- I'm sorry you didn't get the house. I hope get an even better one! Lots of house offer vibes to you!
DS slept great again last night. I hope this keeps up.
Tomorrow I'm dropping my car off at the dealership to get a recall repair done. DD1 has a birthday party to go to and I need to buy my mom a Mother's Day hanging basket. I need to buy all my plants, but it's supposed to be so rainy this weekend. Maybe I'll buy them all and just keep them out on the deck until I can get them planted.
Sunday we have reservations at a local restaurant for a special Mother's Day meal, but I'm not sure if DH made them for brunch or dinner. We'll visit my mom and drop of her cards and her gifts. DD2 blabbed that they ordered me flowers the other day and then blabbed that DD1 drew me a picture last night. Kid cannot keep a secret. LOL
I'm feeling a bit sad I didn't get to go to muffins with mom today because of work and late notice and my kid having his birthday this weekend so I took off the afternoon and not the morning.
I'm sorry your offer didn't go through hikingmama222. And I'm sorry the mom and me muffins didn't work out becole. Just working this afternoon. DD1 has been atrocious. She seems to be getting a cold so I guess that's why? Who knows. DD2 didn't really nap this morning. Should be a fun afternoon for my mom. Last week Bihar everything planned out for her and it was a disaster. Today I'm telling her to do whatever she thinks. I've gone to bed at 9 the last two nights, which also happened to be nights where DD2 slept until 6. So that's good.

Yesterday when I picked DS1 up from daycare he informed me he was wearing two pairs of underwear. He kept asking me why he was wearing two pairs. Dude, I don't know. You dress yourself so you tell me why. His teachers got a good laugh out of it. I hope they judge me because I let my 3 year old dress himself and not because I don't check to make sure he changes his underwear everyday.
Then, this morning we get to daycare and I discover DD is wearing her leggings backwards and her shoes on the wrong feet. Again with the independence. She couldn't be bothered to change either one because it was time to play in the gym.

I've had a full morning of "mom" stuff at the boys' schools. At the daycare, they had muffins with mom, so I was able to do that with DS2 (DS1 was there as well but I tried to focus on DS2). I figured DD doesn't care being a baby and all....so I didn't include her.
I came to work for a while, then headed to DS1's school where they had a whole celebration for moms. They did a couple dances for us, had some snacks, and then gave us some cute gifts they made in class. It was really fun and very sweet.
So now I'm at work til regular time, nothing too crazy for today. DH has some baseball thing after work so I'm solo parenting until probably bedtime. Looks like the kiddos are getting happy meals tonight b/c I am DONE with this week.

I had to miss Mother's Day breakfast at daycare too. *hugs*
I'm more than a little annoyed with my daycare though. MH worked nights last night, so he was home during the day. When the RSVP email went out, I emailed saying I couldn't come but MH wanted to come in my place. The assistant director was like "Ooo. We have the dads come for ice cream social at Father's Day, so I don't think we'd allow it." Dafuq. RAGE. I love everything else about the place so I'm trying to let it go, but it really rubbed me the wrong way. DH took DS1 out to breakfast instead.
What a bummer hikingmama222. I love your positive attitude though! We missed out on what MH refers to as "the dream property" but one popped up late this week that is pretty amazing too. FX something comes up for you. And good luck with the showing!

Just checking in, but my sadness was not just that I would miss it but the thought that my kid might sit there watching the other moms and wonder where I am or why he's alone... Another mom went and I asked her and she said it was no big deal and the kids that's moms were there weren't even sitting with their mom. They were all off playing. When I picked up, the teacher gave me two muffins and two juices anyway which DS asked for immediately. Then I was sad maybe he didn't get snack with the rest of the kids. Idk. School is hard.
