Hi everyone! I need some advice on overnight diapers for my 2 year old. We have always used pocket diapers stuffed with a hemp doubler with no issue but recently he isn't making it through the night. I've tried adding a flat for more absorption but the extra bulk creates weird gaps around his stick figure legs.
Any ideas on what else to try is greatly appreciated. TIA
Try doubling the flats with the hemp doubler in a cover - PUL or wool. Then you will have more absorbency or ability to add more absorbency without the leg gaps. If that's not enough, then try fitteds under the cover.
Another vote for covers instead of pockets. We do two flats in a cover (used to also add a doubler) which works fine, but two flats in a pocket led to leaks because of the different fit (and maybe the lining wicking moisture to the edges?).

We just had this issue to. We used pockets overnight but they stopped working around 17 months. We switched to fitteds with a hemp doubler and it's been good.

We've always used wool overnight for our DD. She is very petite so I had a hard time getting a good fit with a cover over the bulky night time diaper so we've stuck with wool. Currently we're using a Twinkie Tush fitted with a size 1 prefold under a wool cover (6bagsfull brand).
Blueberry covers (Capri and coverall) are super roomy and can contain a multitude of inserts. We do 3 Geffen hemp flats in a Blueberry cover ON (I used to also put 2 doublers in there, but she doesn't seem to need them anymore).

Thanks ladies. I'm going to try flats and the doubler with a cover first and then look into fitteds if that doesn't work. I appreciate the suggestions.
