Happy birthday little beefinch!

I am currently scarfing down salad and soup from Panera. I had $5 off an online order so I upsized to a bowl and only paid $5 and some change. Score of the week. Also, Target has 20% off women's jeans, including maternity, on cartwheel until the 20th. I really need to get there tomorrow and get a pair. I am pretty sure I hate the one pair of maternity jeans I had from last time and need a new pair, asap. Not to mention needing a shitload of other maternity clothes but I can't find anything locally that I like.

theiowagirl, I think I live very close to you. Not to be internet creepy or anything but given your user name I can kind of figure it out I also work sort of indirectly in the same industry as your husband. Small world. I am NOT looking forward to these storms but hope they blow through before I get done with work and have to pick up DS.

Thank you! And I read through part of the State of the Union last night. I've been around since the exodus too. Very interesting stuff. I'd love to see this turn into something greater...but not lose its 'style' if that makes sense. Like, I for sure want new people to be engaged. But not the "my boob just grew a hair and I had sex after my last period am I pregnant??" newbies. 🙈😳 although that would make things very lively.

Yay for Midwest! My hubs has about 10K hogs - we have a few hog sheds. And he farms. Its really fascinating to understand all the things that go into raising hogs. Said...only me, pretty much. But hey, BACON!

Storms have always scared me. I blame being a latch key kid responsible for my brother all summer while living in the country. I hope you stay safe too! And yes, that they pass without anything actually happening.

Miss Killjoy Ahhh ok. Yea that will do it. Under normal circumstances, totally not ok. We actually had one place that was supposed to deliver that accidentally marked our order as pick up so we never got it. We called and they remade it, delivered and gave us a giftcard that covered the cost of it since we had already paid by card.

theiowagirl I'm glad you didn't get any nasty weather. We are under a tornado watch here- eek! The storms should hit soon but hopefully it's nothing.

I'm exhausted. I did a strength training workout for the first time in forever and I'm already sore. Then I babysat my nephew/niece for 4 hours and along with my DS, they're quite the handful. And then DS locked DH and I out of the house. No keys, no phones. DH had to pop out a screen and crawl in the basement window.

My hamstrings and general endurance are facing dire times due to my inconsistent or lacking commitment to physical activity. I'm proud that I notice there's been a decline, meaning that I was doing pretty good for awhile, but I'm also super pissed that I have to start from the bottom with even more stacked against me.

Has your husband been taking notes from the toddler? Because rolling away is super childish.

He always leaves it in the middle of the bed because I dislike sleeping with the tv on and shut it off the second he's out. But tonight he couldn't seem to sleep. It's rare he doesn't go down to the couch when this happens.

Went back to bed around 4am and fell back asleep. Toddler was screaming again at 515am. My alarm goes off at 530. For real, kid. Brought her to bed with us, she went to crash down on the pillow next to me and landed her dead weight big head righ5 on nose. It's been throbbing ever since and now I have a splitting headache. Today's going to be a day, I feel it.
