T calls the hood of his coat his "hook." He also has a great sense of direction which I do not. When we turn various ways out of our neighborhood, he knows where we are going based on the direction we head "oh hockey at the big rinks today vs hockey at the rink by the park." He also has a great sense of humor for a little guy. He will say "good night daddy" to me and then crack up. He is very outgoing and great with names. He knows every kid on every team the other kids play on and he yells directions to them by name.

B has an amazing memory, she amazes me.
I was pumping gas w her in the car and she said, "mommy, is it at 14 yet?". At first, I was like wtf is she talking about. Then I realized it was something I had told her once, weeks ago (my car holds about 14 gallons, so I told her to watch until 14 comes up, then we'd be done).
Another time when we went down to visit my MIL and FIL, she saw my MIL's purse and said it was Zia's (her aunt) purse. She remembered the LV print on my SIL's purse from when she saw her 6 months earlier!
Matthew is such a complex child, sometimes its hard to get anything out of him. But lately he'll be playing or laying down watching his ipad and he'll just whisper "mommy? I love you"
That just made me tear up. So sweet.
S rarely initiates saying I love you, and often will say he doesn't love me, or tell me that I don't love him. Which I hate.
But sometimes, in those few minutes right before bed, he is just so so sweet. The other night he asked me to lay down with him and as I was lying there he reached out and stroked my head and quietly said, "Mommy, I just love you so much" I melted.
Whenever he has a cheese stick (which is every day, sometimes 2 times a day) he says "Mommy, can you peel it like a banana?" Then when he has a banana he says "Mommy, peel it like a cheese!". Then he laughs. Every time.
Oh my, her memory is frightening some times! She broke an ornament 2 Christmas's ago and brought it up like 10 months later about how she broke "that purple thing from the Christmas" I didn't even remember the color. Or when I was 9 months pregnant at Easter last year at my parents and broke down crying because she was being naughty. She brought that up a few months later.
When one of us eats something yummy we tease each other that we're going to take it from their belly and eat it. So I'll tickle her tummy like I'm taking the food out and pretend to eat it. Then she'll "take it back" and "eat it" again. Super weird, but she thinks it's hilarious.
She never says "forget" right. She always says "get-for" But it is so cute. "Mommy! We don't want to getfor my blankie!!"

Colin fell off the big kid swing the first weekend we had our swing set - over a year ago. We're still struggling to get him to use that instead of the bucket, because he's scared of falling again!

Cadence still remembers our first trip to a play gym here in town. She bumped her head at the bottom of the slide. Now anytime we go there she reminds me that she bumped her head on the slide. She was like 1.5 at the time!
S has become obsessed with Monsters. So every night before bed I make a big deal about doing a monster check and dragging what we "find" out to the top of the stairs and kicking them down the stairs.
His job is to sit on the bed and point out the monster to me. He has gotten SOOOO descriptive. He'll say "mommy, it's under the bed and it's big and it's red but it has some blue on it."
Then if I don't say the exact right script of whatever I said the first night, he'll say "say this is a monster free house! Say don't come back again! Say tell all your monster friends!" It's so cute.
Back to remembering things. A few months ago we bought frozen french toast for him. It has the little lines in it to separate into small pieces. The first time I made it for him, I ripped it apart and he got upset b/c he wanted it together. He has a piece of french toast probably 4 times per week. EVERY day he says "Don't break it apart! I don't like that!" Finally I got frustrated and said Buddy, I haven't broken it apart since that first time, I know you don't like that. You can stop telling me that every time.
Now every time he says, "I'm not going to tell you not to break it apart since you told me not to!"
Ummmm yeah, telling me you're not going to say it is pretty much the same thing as saying it.
