What's new with baby (size, development)? She's about 8 pounds already per my ultrasound last week. At this point it's just a waiting game.
Name? We'll decide when we see her, which is hopefully very soon!
Any upcoming appointments this week? One this morning.
Any new symptoms/changes? Every day just gets harder. My whole body hurts and simple tasks are near impossible.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just really hoping this girl gets here soon. I'm not sure how much longer I can be this pregnant and uncomfortable with two toddlers every day.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Haven't bought anything. I washed pump parts and have all the baby stuff officially ready for her.
Did you do anything for yourself this week? I walked around Target by myself when DH got home the other night, but I was in quite a bit of pain so I hurried home. Probably getting a pedicure this weekend.
Anything you want to add? We are just anxiously waiting! DD is talking about the baby all the time- it's so cute! I'm just trying to take it day by day and hopefully I go into labor soon.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? Depends when I deliver. DD and DS were born in the middle of the night and by the time I was hungry, it was breakfast time. I just wanted some eggs and bacon. This time around, if baby is born at a different time, I would love some chinese take-out.

How far along are you? 36w 1 d
What's new with baby (size, development)? Apparently the size of a footling sub, 2L of Mountain Dew, or a power drill!
Name? Ellie
Any upcoming appointments this week? NST tomorrow.
Any new symptoms/changes? My (always low) BP dropped yesterday while DS and I were at the grocery store and I thought I was going to pass out. Thank goodness for being a familiar face; a couple employees helped me and kept DS corralled while I sat and drank some water.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave! Positive thinking! Now that DS has evicted himself from the nursery, I am excited to get some decorating and organizing done in there for Ellie!
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Last night was a completion event at BRU, so I bought some diapers, hooded towels, nursing pads, clothes, and a few other things at a very nice discount. The purchase I'm really proud of is getting a crib bedding set that is originally $180 at BRU for $64 at BB&B.
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Baby stuff shopping was therapeutic.
Anything you want to add? I'm looking forward to all of us getting to meet our babies and seeing new baby pictures!
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? A chocolate milkshake, and the other food depends on the time of day.
How far along are you? 35 weeks (how did that happen?!)
What's new with baby (size, development)? Size of a cantaloupe or kid-size backpack
Name? We're set on our #1 for both sexes.
Any upcoming appointments this week? Not until next week
Any new symptoms/changes? Lower back gets achy faster during activity. Not really feeling hungry at any point any more. Stomach is too squished I guess.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rants - Confirmed I have pregnancy-induced rosacea. Delightful. I'm not going to treat it until a few months post-birth to wait and see if it goes away once baby is here. It's not too bad right now, just annoying. Also learned what I thought might be a plantar's wart (I get them due to having the virus, ugh) was actually a corn! Now I feel old. Derm told me weight shifts in pregnancy can lead to them.
Rave - My family gets here starting tomorrow for my shower on Saturday! So excited to see them and just hang out.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Nothing this week. We'll be doing more buying after the shower.
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Played tennis yesterday. I wasn't incapacitated this morning, so I'll play again next week unless I'm not up for it.
Anything you want to add? I can't believe I have as few as 3 weeks left! Insanity!
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? Right now I'm just not hungry or feeling cravings for anything (besides ice cream since it's hot here right now). But probably an egg croissant sandwich if it's breakfast time. Big juicy burger and fries if it's lunch/dinner. Alcohol either way (mimosa for breakfast or wine/bourbon drink later in the day).
What's new with baby (size, development)? Not sure
Name?
Any upcoming appointments this week? Just had one yesterday, gbs test and dilation check. All looked good.
Any new symptoms/changes? Just joints aching and tired.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I got all A's this semester!
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Bought baby soap and lotion.
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Bought myself a smores frapp because pregly craving!!!
Anything you want to add? I'm getting nervous about plans and when baby decides to come. Like he could still be really small when family expects us 14 hours away. Or not born when we do family pictures.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? I always crave McDonald's. Orange juice, mcgriddle, and blueberry pomegranate smoothie. LOL

How far along are you? 38 weeks (tomorrow)
What's new with baby (size, development)? Apparently baby has made a jump in growth and *may* be as much as six pounds at birth which is amazing !!!!
Name? Theodore or Edith, we will find out Friday (or Saturday or Sunday depending on how long the induction takes)
Any upcoming appointments this week? Just had my last NST of pregnancy, definitely having some contractions so hopefully we won't have to start from scratch to get this baby out
Any new symptoms/changes? I spent all day yesterday nauseous and throwing up. Today I'm feeling a lot better. Hopefully I do not have gastro and this is pregnancy related
Rants/Raves/Questions? Did any STM's have nausea vomiting leading up to their delivery?
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Bought a new car seat for baby because our convertible seat starts at 5lbs, and baby might not meet the requirement
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Going to spend the day being tourists in Toronto tomorrow before induction on Friday, should be fun
Anything you want to add? Last check in before I have an outside baby
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? Sushi most likely
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015
What's new with baby (size, development)? Hopefully she's dropping soon, id really like to be able to breathe again. The size of a kids backpack
Name? Pai.ge
Any upcoming appointments this week? I had my weekly NST yesterday
Any new symptoms/changes? Feeling a little nauseous yesterday and today.
Rants/Raves/Questions? So excited we finally have a name. It was between Scarlet and Paige. Scarlet is too high on the SSA lists (ranked 18 for Scarlett spelling and 359ish for the spelling I wanted but all in all still the name Scarlett and a top 25 name.) Paige was in the 140s. (C's name was 114 or 115 when he was born and last year was at 110.) C hasn't been feeling well the last few days. He threw up all over our area rug on Monday morning. Yesterday he had a gross diaper that went up his back. I didn't know about said diaper until he was scooting down the stairs on his butt (so facing forward and allowing his back to hit the steps.) I already had to shampoo the area rug, now I get to figure out how to shampoo the stairs as well.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Nothing lately unless you count my subscribe and save order of diapers that came in on Monday. I'm thinking about having a custom onesie made that says "hello world I'm Paige"
Did you do anything for yourself this week? I had a pedicure on Thursday since I was in a wedding on Friday. The pedicure wasn't what I was hoping for. I might see if one of DHs aunts wants to watch C next week for an hour or two so I can get a massage (and finally use a gift cert DH gave me a year ago.)
Anything you want to add? My in-laws leave for vacation (out of the country) tomorrow evening. They're gone for 10 days. I'm guessing baby will make her appearance during those 10 days.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? Wine... does wine count as a meal?
What's new with baby (size, development)? Size of a 2 liter of soda, a power drill, or 2 plates of beignets! Baby is just growing and putting on baby fat! Monday's scan estimated baby is just under 7 pounds.
Name? Eli.jah Jos.eph
Any upcoming appointments this week? Still Doing twice a week appointments-one with an NST and BPP and one just NST.
Any new symptoms/changes? Still struggling to be comfortable when sleeping and waking up sore always.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just plugging along. Life is good, baby is good, to do list is still long!
What is the last thing you bought for baby? A swing and a RnP!
Did you do anything for yourself this week? I went back to our old city we lived in and got together for a baby shower/girls night get together last weekend. It was so much fun to see all my friends and catch up on life. H and I also spent the weekend just hanging out and doing a little "babymoon" before it was back to reality!
Anything you want to add? Excited to see baby but terrified at the same time!!!!
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? SUSHI!!!! I miss sushi so much. No thought needed for that one!
Me: 29 DH: 35 NTNP since May 2013 charting since June 2014 dx: Graves disease (radioactive iodine), Crohns disease (abdominal surgeries) MMC October 2015 (9 weeks) Severe MFI diagnosis July 2015

Any upcoming appointments this week? Waiting at the maternity clinic right now.
Any new symptoms/changes? Getting leg cramps throughout the day.
Rants/Raves/Questions? It was cool here yesterday and I put on socks... I'm glad no one was watching because that was awkward.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Nothing
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Let myself read while DS was napping instead of trying to get things done.
Anything you want to add? The window guy is at my house right now! I should be able to get the nursery set up soon.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? Cheeseburger and fries, unless it's the early morning, then I'm not sure.
What's new with baby (size, development)? Length of romaine lettuce
Name? Katherine or Samuel
Any upcoming appointments this week? Yes, in a little over an hour I have my 36 week appt.
Any new symptoms/changes? Not really. I got rid of my headache - I think I was just dehydrated. Oh, and this is weird - when I sleep on my left side now, my right hand falls asleep. So I've been sleeping on my right side.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - we had DS's annual cardiology testing yesterday at the childrens hospital. He was born with a heart defect and had his full repair open heart surgery at 5 months old. He did awesome. He was so cooperative during the echocardiogram and EKG, and the doctor says his heart looks great and there's no signs of any issues. While we were pretty sure he was fine, it's always nerve-wracking to worry about the tests turning up something. We are so lucky. He also was just so cute about everything yesterday that DH and I could hardly stand it - it's unusual for both of us to get to hang out with just him for an afternoon.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Baby bathtub. I accidentally ordered two on Amazon so now I have to ship back the biggest box ever.
Did you do anything for yourself this week? I hosted my book club on Tuesday evening, so that was fun to get together with 5 other women and hang out - though I'll be glad when I can drink wine again. Then tonight I'm going to a wine bar after putting the kids to bed to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Anything you want to add? I'm so excited for everyone having babies really soon and crossing my fingers that all goes well.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? I'm probably going to proactively avoid wheat this time since both my other kids had issues with it while nursing, so that rules out the chocolate cake DH brought me after DD was born
What's new with baby (size, development)? per this morning's ultrasound, 5 lb 12 oz.
Name? Caroline Elizabeth - finally set!
Any upcoming appointments this week? this morning
Any new symptoms/changes? CONSTANT need to pee...seems like baby is a little lower.
Rants/Raves/Questions? DD1 is just super cute lately and making me want 100 babies.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? hmm...maybe her high chair?
Did you do anything for yourself this week? chiropractor yesterday. i want to go to bed early tonight!
Anything you want to add? i'll second sdlaura 's sentiment - best wishes for everyone about to have a baby!
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? i love all food. probably something fried, and definitely with dessert.
sdlaura your kids has wheat issues but not dairy ones? the thought of needing to give up dairy again makes me want to cry and then drown myself in ice cream. lol. although honestly once i got used to it, it wasn't that bad.

How far along are you? 36w
What's new with baby (size, development)? size of a Papaya, all systems fully developed except digestion
Name? We have settled on 2 and will decide after she is born. I think we are leaning towards one but we'll see.
Any upcoming appointments this week? On on Monday
Any new symptoms/changes? Took my rings off last week due to swelling/weight gain since I was afraid I wouldn't get them off, she feels lower than before
Rants/Raves/Questions? It was 95 degrees here today and my school has no A/C. My classroom got to about 84 degrees by the end of the day. I did okay but was not very happy and my feet/ankles are very angry with me right now.
What is the last thing you bought for baby? Not sure...
Did you do anything for yourself this week? Does yoga class on Tuesday count? Made DH put in the A/C last night! lol
Anything you want to add? I have my 36w appt on Monday and will have my platelet count rechecked. I'm nervous about the results and hope they haven't continued to drop.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? A good cold cut sub since I haven't had cold cuts all pregnancy. Yummmm
Post by teachermomtobe on May 18, 2017 16:13:25 GMT -5
sdlaura, Meant to say in my post but I also have noticed that I wake up with what I think is the opposite arm being tingly than what I was sleeping on. Very weird.
sdlaura your kids has wheat issues but not dairy ones? the thought of needing to give up dairy again makes me want to cry and then drown myself in ice cream. lol. although honestly once i got used to it, it wasn't that bad.
Yep. With DD right around 3 months she became more and more uncomfortable, and when I took her to the doctor she hadn't gained any weight in almost a month, which was a sign of something being really wrong. So we switched her to formula right away and she was immediately fine and comfortable and started gaining again. In the meantime, I cut out dairy and soy, since they're the most common culprits, and continued to pump whenever I would have fed her, to keep my supply up. A couple weeks later we tried reintroducing breastmilk several times, and she would get sick again. She was doing so well on the formula that we just stuck with that.
With DS, when he was a few weeks old he started getting really obviously uncomfortable, especially after eating. I went to see a lactation consultant to have his latch and all the other BF mechanics evaluated. I told her about the experience with DD and she suggested trying to cut out wheat instead. DS was much more comfortable almost immediately. So I gave up wheat for the time that I was BFing him (exclusively until 6 months, and then through about 9 months total).
Now that we had this experience, though, I have found more other moms that ended up having wheat issues than I would have thought.
ETA - neither kid has issues with any foods now. It was just while I was nursing.
sdlaura ah I see. We figured out that DD1 didn't tolerate dairy around 2 months. That + Zantac helped a lot, but those were some rough weeks. I cut out dairy for about 8 months and then slowly reintroduced it and she did fine at that point. She loves cow milk now.
I meant to say that I found it frustrating that her pedi kind of insisted that it wasn't anything I was eating. It was so much more than typical baby fussiness, her diapers were terrible, and once I adjusted my diet she was so much happier.
agm04 good for you for trusting your intuition. The lack of weight gain even though I didn't have a supply issue was what caused our pediatrician to take it seriously, I think. And the fact that she was gaining lots of weight before then, so it's not like she forgot how to latch or other concerns about a brand new baby.
She was also a super spitter-upper and we tried reflux meds for that which didn't work and just made her miserable. She spit up whether it was breast milk, formula, boob, bottle, different formulas and bottles, feeding her less at a time, etc. So we believe it was just an anatomical issue with her spitting up whenever there was liquid in her stomach. Our pediatrician classified that as mainly a laundry issue and she grew out of it.

34+5 today He's putting on weight Lincoln or Weston Had 34 week yesterday Having a lot of stronger contractions. I cannot sleep. I want to sleep so badly. Nipples, pump parts, wipe dispenser. Nothing for me. Except eating way too many sugary treats. I have a super strong feeling this baby is coming early. I haven't felt like that with the first two, so we'll see! A turkey club with avocado and fries. I have only eaten lunchmeat hot, even though I know the odds of listeria are low.. I won't risk it. I hate hot lunchmeat/sandwiches. I want alllllll the deli turkey.

bagels I crave McDonald's like a mad woman. Good thing the closest one is 80 minutes away. I also have a love obsession with bacon egg and cheese mcgriddles. agm04 I'm pretty sure I'm going to cut dairy in the next week or so. Both boys had issues with it, and ds2 was on nutramigen. Ds1 probably should've been, but our pedi was clueless. It's going to be so hard because I love iced coffee, cereal, and cheese.

I soooo feel you. I've considered cutting it out in advance too but I don't think I'll actually do it. At least the coconut milk stuff (especially coffee creamer) is pretty good. There are several dairy free ice creams that are amazing. There really is no substitute for cereal with delicious cow milk. Or cheese.
What's new with baby (size, development)? size of a kid's backpack
Name? We have a girl first name, and a boy's first and middle!
Any upcoming appointments this week? next Tuesday is 35 week appointment
Any new symptoms/changes? Just ready to not be pregnant anymore
Rants/Raves/Questions?
What is the last thing you bought for baby? diapers
Did you do anything for yourself this week? nope
Anything you want to add? My OB decided to wait on the NSTs for now due to baby's size. I have my next ultrasound in 2.5 weeks, so we will see then. But I'll be like 37.5 weeks at that point, so I shouldn't have to have more than a few at most. It has been difficult trying to balance appointments with DH's changing work schedule and a mom who keeps telling me she'll come to help and then cancels.
GTKY: If you could have anything for your 1st meal post-delivery, what would you choose? I've never been super hungry right after delivery, so I'm not sure.
