We tried the playground with friends this morning but it was covered in tiny caterpillars. So we ended up at an indoor play place. Nap shenanigans left me exhausted so I relaxed on the back porch in my new chair. I love it! DD1 and I were outside for a bit, but now we're watching Finding Dory. Dd2 is just waking up from a 3 hour nap. She had a morning cat nap because of our outing. She won't sleep longer than 30 minutes when we're out.

Guys, G napped for over two hours today. In his crib! He also took two decent naps at day care on Monday, and at least one decent nap yesterday. I hope that this is a turning point in the nap issue and not related to his teeth.

smallpotato, Technically I am not supposed to know who is involved in these incidents. But my kids can talk so they tell me. I have no idea how discipline is being handled. I do know that they've brought in some outside advisors (not sure who they are) to evaluate ongoing behavior issues in the 2's room. All the director told me is there are kids facing issues at home. I took that to mean there are kids caught in custody battles (I've overheard teachers discussing this) and/or discipline is lacking or inconsistent at home.
FFWC I don't want to wake a sleeping baby so I'm hanging out on the main floor with the baby while DH and other kids are downstairs. No tornado here, just straight line winds so I'm hedging my bets.

The first one with a tornado by us went just West of where we live but directly over the tiny town my school is in.
I was in a straight line wind storm once and it was terrifying. I hope they get here before bedtime. Stay safe!
Like, if you have your dog in a store and I round a corner and see him and look scared and try to abck away and your dog jumps on me maybe you should apologize? Fuck her.
Sorry. I'm obviously bent out of shape. Also did I mention that I'm scared of dogs.
Guess it'll save me money since shopping there is wholly unappealing.
I'm so sorry. Some dog owners are so irresponsible. I am not a fan of dogs either so I get it. Encountering dogs while shopping would turn me off too.

I LOVE dogs, but i don't want them in most stores (unless they are working dogs, obv). And why wouldn't the owner apologize??? Ugh people.
I finally went through our mail and learned that DS1's future preschool set a deadline for a registration fee, which i missed because i suck at mail. Fingers crossed it's not a big deal because we are screwed if he cant go there.

that's bananas. I've never heard of a store allowing dogs that aren't working dogs.
I know Home Depot allows dogs and I've heard of some retails stores. But I'm also nervous of dogs, especially barking or jumping ones. I'd be po'd if one had jumped on me or my kid. Keep your dog under control and away from strangers.
