I am currently trying to resist leftover cake at work. Must. Resist.
DS2 woke up for the first time at 12:30am. I thought "Nope!" And ignored him. Ok, I actually just watched him on the monitor for ten minutes where he crawled around his crib and cried intermittently for 10 minutes, then went back to sleep. Hooray! He woke up at 4 and that time I did go in to feed him.
My oldest had his 3 yo visit yesterday. He's like 70% height and 90% weight. You've seen pics of him- he's not overweight- it's like his bones are made of lead. Everyone that picks him up is so surprised with how heavy he feels to lift. He looks the same size as my nephew but is 3 lbs heavier. He feels 20 lbs heavier. Funny how kids are that way. I was glad he passed his vision test. I wore glasses starting in 2nd grade and I had lasik a few years ago. I hope he doesn't need glasses.

Vaccinations went well yesterday for both kids. DD actually laughed when it was over. Not a tear. DS continues to drop percentiles for height and weight but I'm trying not to worry. Just need to get him to eat more solids.
Loved the house we saw last night but we think it's over priced. Waiting until our buyers waive their conditions then we'll go in with an offer and see if they are willing to negotiate.
Not much planned for today. Which I'm not complaining about.
Today is DH's birthday, but he's going out to dinner with all the other managers from work, so I have to pick all the kids up. I'm also planning to stop to buy a new A/C for my bedroom because the one we have is a Zenith piece of crap that barely works and is now super loud to boot. It's not even that old, but you get what you pay for. (DH put them in yesterday because of the little heat wave we're having right now and the fact that there's no airflow in our house, with our small windows.) Even though it was cool outside last night, our room was still hot, so we had the a/c on, but I had to shut it off at like 2am because of the noise.
DS started at the new-to-him daycare today. DH dropped him off and said he was happy as could be.

After the rough night G had on Monday, MH offered to take any wakeups last night. Of course, G slept from 8:30 to 7. G had a fever yesterday afternoon and wasn't taking a bottle, so MH took him to the pedi, thinking it could be an ear infection. Everything was clear, and the pedi pointed out that his top gums were wicked swollen. She said the top two teeth should be coming through any day now. To top off our evening, we were outside with our neighbors, and G coughed and puked all over their blanket, himself, and me. Needless to say, laundry will be done today.
Everyone slept until after 6:30 this morning. N is at the kindergarten readiness group this morning, and MH is hanging out with G. Everyone was in a good mood when I left. Tonight, there is a pizza party for incoming kindergarten families at the elementary school, so we're going to that. It's going to be really nice out today, so I'm going to try to get out at lunch.
I had a dream last night that I bought H one of those "RompHims" as a joke, but he didn't know it was a joke and wore it. It was teal and he looked like a giant baby. Lol. He does actually wear pretty much whatever I tell him to wear, so though this situation would never happen, it was hilarious.
Stroller strides at a different location today bc I'm meeting up with a friend. We'll go to the park and lunch after. Tonight the ILs are coming over bc it's moms night out with my stroller strides group!
Haha I love this. My DH would look hilarious in one with his big beard.
becole glad he passed the vision test. We're both blind as well, and I was so excited that they were doing a free vision test at daycare. DH picked the kids up the ONE DAY then sent the permission slip home. I just found it in his car and it was due April 27th. Men.
iwantbacon glad your LO got himself back to sleep. That rarely happens in my house.
smallpotato sounds like you have a pretty good day planned. Enjoy the weather for me, it's hailing here.
I obviously don't want to work today.
DH bought an Ellabee4 (super fancy thermostat you can talk to) and he's totally geeking out about it. I bet he's sitting at home all day with DD1 asking it questions.

@holachica Your meme speaks to me on many levels. That's been about the last week for me. We've ordered out so much. fem Hoping everything checks out okay at the doctor, still. @kitchen I think I like the top one most. It's more classic and harder to have a bad hair day with.
Been absent here. I have been on mostly to just love tit and disappear again in the last week. I see I missed some forum-site drama something or other. #sorrynotsorry
Commencement is today so the campus is crowded up the wazoo and there's cars and people everywhere. Wish I could have teleworked. We're throwing a party for our graduate assistants who are getting their degrees, but I forgot I agreed to a phone demo of a new system for our services and now I have to camp at my desk til they call me.

Hello! Wasn't able to check-in yesterday. Things have really picked up at work and DH is working a ton so I've been go go go at home in the evenings.
I saw Rent last night. My mom wasn't able to go so I went with my dad. It's the 20th anniversary of the musical and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen it since it debuted. I can't get the songs out of my head today!
DS2 has really taken to solids. We're doing purees at home and finger foods (in strips) at home. He devoured zucchini and dark meat chicken last night. The only thing he consistently still refuses in banana. We even tried mixing it with yogurt. Lil stinker.
DS1 came home last night complaining that he needed to get his glasses fixed. To the point that he took them off and wouldn't wear them. Apparently a kid ripped them off his face and bent them. The kid is the 2's room but at the end of the day, all the classes are together in the gym. This is not the first time he's ripped his glasses off and it's the same kid that has repeatedly bitten DD (she s in the 2's room with him). I'm fed up. I told them last night it's okay to stay away from him because he can't play nice. I am not going to make my kids play with a bully. I excused the behavior a year ago after he just turned 2 but he is still a bully a year later.

@holachica, that dream is hilarious. I meant to show MH the article last night to see his reaction. He would never, ever be caught in something like that. iwantbacon, glad DS figured out how to go back to sleep, and you were able to get a little more rest. becole, N refused to cooperate with the vision test at his 4 year check up. At the time, the pedi recommended we make an appointment with an eye doctor. We never did, and probably should. I started wearing glasses when I was 8, and MH got them in high school. Our kids are doomed. hikingmama222, good luck with the negotiations! The back and forth was the most nerve wracking part of the house hunting process for me. Happy birthday Mr. jwinct! @kitchen, I like both haircuts. I am also lazy when it comes to my hair, so I would go with the first cut. erien22846, that's awful. Is the daycare doing anything about the other kid? fem, glad she's on the mend and the hives are gone.

I've always thought about cutting my hair super short, but the shortest I've ever gone is chin length. My face is round, so I feel like a short haircut will make my face look huge or like the picture becole posted.
This day is DRAGGING. I can't believe I still have another hour and a half of work. Ugh. It's so beautiful out, if not a bit hot, and I just want to go outside. I went out for lunch and didn't want to come back. And I want to go pick up my little bubba after his first day at his new daycare.

Transitions are hard for me. I don't like feeling like my kid might be stressed. Makes me stressed.
becole - I'm honestly not worried about the transition. He is seriously the most easy-going kid around and is happy pretty much anywhere, with anyone. It's just me wanting to hear how his day went and stuff. DH is the one who dropped him off this morning and I had a bit of a hard time with that because I'm a bit of a control freak in that regard and I am usually the one to do the drop-offs, especially the first drop off. I even asked DH if he wanted me to drop him off and he was all, "I'm pretty sure I can handle it."
