My eating has been not so stellar this week. Too much junk around work + super busy week + little self control = yikes. But still on board the workout train. My plan is to survive the school year and then add in weekend workouts as well. The end of the year craziness just has me too overwhelmed to manage it!!
I have been doing very badly on all my goals. But a few days ago I had a bit of a revelation. I have officially weaned (this morning was our last nursing session) and it prompted a lot of reflection. For the last 18 months, my body has sustained 2 lives in addition to my own. And I have repaid it by eating crap, staying up too late, and not exercising ever. My body has been working double overtime and I have not been doing anything to make it easier. So I have a new mantra: Treat your body with the respect it deserves. And I will use that mantra to stop myself each time I am about to make an unhealthy decision.

bocaburger Congrats to your H! Also I love your mantra!
shananagins the committment you have to working out is awesome. With weekends would you be going 7 days?!
Things are okay here. I did my 14 mile run. It was one of those shitty runs where I just felt like I was struggling the whole time but I'm proud I finished it. I run a 5 miler this weekend then next weekend I do 17 miles! I did trip on my cats' food dish and hurt my foot yesterday so I am resting it today and hoping it's better by Sunday for my 5 miles.
