I am sometimes amazed how much my thoughts come back to you ladies during the day. Like I wonder what so and so would say about this? Or that's funny so and so was just talking about that.
All that to say cagoldi would hate my footwear today. It's so cold I pulled out my handmade moose hide mid calf moccasins. So soft. So warm.
That's so sweet of your H, @mx2. wedding, I hope C is feeling better.
I got up and got ready for work, only to find we sprung yet another leak. Now I need to stay home again to change buckets/towels. I will never be at the office again.
My mom is here this morning and she let E face plant off the couch while I was in the other room. Poor baby was hysterical. She was like, "it looked like he was going to get down on his own!". Yeah, mom. By face planting.
Good morning! I'm so glad it's almost Friday. This has been a short week for me but it has sucked big time.
Next week is my last week of work and I couldn't be happier. Yesterday my company offerered me an opportunity to stay in my current role part time. I'm bitter because I had asked for this twice last year and was told no way. I told them I would only consider it as a work from home position with occasional trips to the office and they said no, so it's off the table. My commute is over 45 minutes so it's not worth driving in for a few days a week.
We had asparagus for supper last night. H's diaper stinks. I got a last minute meeting today at work sprung on me yesterday. It wouldn't be a big deal but I have to be at work 1/2 hour early and I like to give daycare a little more notice than the afternoon before.

wedding -- so sorry about the strep. Hope C is better soon. We should catch up, want to give you all the details about the music and movement class. B was a nut!
I've been missing too. Reading some here and there, but posting nothing.
Hope all the sick mommies and babies are feeling better soon.
Here's the snow from my world. This is the front of my house.
trtlcrzy, he's supposed to be here around 9:30 (give or take time for traffic). I really hope he shows. It's going to rain this weekend, which will be disastrous if we can't et the roof cleared.
I took a shoe selfie but I'm sort of picture illiterate here. I'll try again in a bit. They make taller ones too but I really like mid calf. I think I said thigh earlier and I lied. and shouldn't type before coffee
A college friend of mine is driving me crazy. She has a 2 month old son, and keeps texting me asking about formula -- which is fine, she knows I FF Evan from 6 months on -- but she keeps asking about organic formula, and saying things like "well I plan on pumping when I go back to work so hopefully I won't even need it...."
It's driving me batty. She's one of my closest friends, and I know she's not meaning to judge, but she's coming off so "better than thou" every time we talk. No, friend, I know nothing about that organic formula made in Germany that is supposedly sooooooo superior to US formula brands. My kid used Similac.

And there ain't a thing wrong with similac.
So she wants to formula feed but she wants to pump AFTER she starts ff? I'm confused.

I know about that formula. I'm on an uppity NYC FB group and they allllllll use that formula and have it imported in. It's a cult. So bizarre.

Hi! We had our life insurance guy here at 7am to sign some documents. I'm getting ready to go to the gym. Oh, and my H informed me he put a deposit on that damn car yesterday. So I guess he's getting it ....
Last night my good friend came over to hang out and brought homemade pot pie for dinner. She is a vegetarian but I swear she cooks chicken better than anybody I know. She made a vegetarian pot pie and a chicken pot pie. So right now I am eating amazing left over chicken pot pie for breakfast. Mmmm.
OMG FRIEND, DO NOT SEND ME LINKS TO ARTICLES ABOUT "WHICH BRAND OF ORGANIC FORMULA IS SAFER" FULL OF LANGUAGE THAT SHAMES WOMEN FOR CONSIDERING FFING AT ALL, AND THEN GOES ON TO DISCUSS THE DANGERS OF PALM OIL.
I seriously just texted her back, "I think there is a lot of shaming that goes on surrounding how we choose to feed our kids and the language used to discuss formula. As far as I'm concerned, if you feed your kid age appropriate liquids and/or solids, you're doing it right."
She's sending this shit to me and to my BFF, who is having a harder time with BFing and is supplementing with formula currently. Jerk.
ljgs1010 - I'm sorry, she sounds like she's being obnoxious. I'd call her out on it, in the nicest way possible. One of those "I'm sure you're not trying to sound..." because it's probably stressing your other friend out a lot.

ljgs1010 I think she is being really insensitive.. To send that to moms who she knows have used formula, for any reason, is rude. It's one thing to ask your opinion on a brand or type, but I think she's being a jerk.
When I quit BFing I had a friend send me articles day after day about the "dangers of baby formula". We aren't friends anymore.
