kelltothekell - that is so good to know about multigrain Cheerios! I will start buying that kind - we've been eating the original like it's our job!
Lollipop - would you be open to babysitting? Do they have Care.com in Canada? Now that you have a minivan, you've got more options for something like that. You could do before/after care for a local family or something, or shuttle kids to/from soccer, etc.
We put my kids to bed between 8:30 and 9pm. DS used to stay up playing in his room until 10 or 11 at night, but now that he's dropping his nap he's falling asleep closer to nine. Neither one of my kids has ever slept anywhere close to the "average" number of hours in the Ferber book scale. They are freaks of nature!!
Yesterday my boss found not one, but two mistakes in my work. The first mistake was discovered while in a meeting with several of my peers. I ate humble pie for a while yesterday, but then I decided to take it like a man. It was a small mistake and it was fixable. Plus, I feel like if we don't mess up every once in a while then something is seriously wrong
dizzycooks - my friend's kids are in Montessori and I guess they really emphasize independence in that program. My friend has an AMAZING, awe-inspiring weekly chore chart for her four year-old daughters. I have no idea where/how she got the idea, but please let me know how yours turns out. DS turns four in August and I think that's a good age to start minor chores. Right now, the only thing that he has to do is clean up his toys and put his own dishes into the sink after meal time.
