Congrats on your sweet little girl. I have been thinking about this you after your failed induction. How did labor go for you? Did you end up back in the hospital for the birth? I hope round 2 was better than expected after round one was so awful.

Thank you! I'm working on a detailed birth story, because it was pretty incredible.
After I was discharged from the hospital, I had a follow up appointment with my midwife the following Monday. I requested another screening for pre-e symptoms, and my blood pressure was slightly elevated at that appoint. They pulled blood and urine for labs, and told me they would call me on Wednesday. Early labor started spontaneously for me at 2AM on Wednesday morning, and they called at noon to let me know my labs were perfect. I asked about delivering at the birth center, and they told me they had to ask the supervising physician, because I was such a special case. Because I was still a little traumatized by the hospital experience, I was determined not to go in until this baby was ready to come out. I labored all day at home until 3:30 when they called me back and said I could come to the birth center! That was the best news I'd heard for weeks! We left for the center at 4PM, arrived at 4:50, and Alaina was here at 4:59. Our little family was home by 10PM that evening. My midwives are calling her the drive-thru baby
I can't believe after all of that, I got a second chance at my perfect birth, and we nailed it. It couldn't possibly have resulted in a better outcome.
