How's everything going? Overall, going well!

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? Anyone dealt with a nipple abrasion? I was hoping it would have healed by now, I've had it for over a week.

Also and advice for a LO that doesn't open wide sometimes?

Pumping is going well! I aim to pump 1-2 times a day. 12 weeks of leave.


GTKY: what's the worst vacation you've been on? That's tough, idk! Most vacations are pretty great!

How old is LO? 2 weeks

How's everything going? Not bad. His initial latch still hurts like a mofo, but the pain is subsiding much quicker, and then it is painless. Except for ultra sensitive nipples right now.

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? He has been super clingy today. I wonder if it is a phase or part of his personality starting to show. He is nursing more and more often too. Hopefully phase

Is this your first experience BF? No, BY my daughter for 2 years

What's one reason why you want to BF? Passing on the antibodies. Everyone has been sick since we brought baby home. I though by expecting an early summer baby, I would get to avoid sickness paranoia a bit, but no such luck.



GTKY: what's the worst vacation you've been on? Caveat: A bad vacation is still better than a day at work! But, we did go on a cruise once that wasn't as pleasant as we had hoped. DD got sick right before we left, and then caught something else so she was just cranky the whole time. I remember being at a great beach and just having to sit and nurse her the whole time. We were on a group tour and I was so, so tempted to take a cab and head back to the ship separately because it was brutal. Then, she got better but I got sick. AND the first room we were in had bed bugs. Ugh.

How old is LO? 4 days

How's everything going? I hate pumping, I can't wait until we can nurse. He's currently in the nicu for respiratory problems so the gear gets in the way of nursing and sucking is just too much work for his little body.

Questions/concerns/cute stories to share? Any tips for getting all the milk out? Sometimes no more comes out but I can still feel lumps.
Also, any idea how much I should be producing? I get 60-150mL with pumping every 2-3 hours.

What's one reason why you want to BF? Baby is on antibiotics, so I feel breast milk is critical for his gut bacteria.


GTKY: what's the worst vacation you've been on? I don't think I've had a bad vacation, just bad parts to overall good trips. Like going to the beach then cutting the vacation short because of an incoming hurricane! Lol
