Hey ladies!
I need help baby-proofing. Specifically gates to block wide entry ways in a small, but open house. How thoroughly do you guys clear or block off non-baby items/areas? Like bookshelves, dog bowls, shoe baskets, etc.
Also, non-slip mats for the bath tub. Anyone use the stickers? What's the safest and least gross option out there.
Finally, ttma shoes. LO is about to start walking and we'll be outside alot this summer so it's time. His feet don't seem to fit well in the shoes we've tried though. Like they're too... thick? High arches or something. Idk, but it's like his feet don't go all the way in the shoes.
Oh also, I need a new car. What crossovers do you have and why do you love them? Looking at the Rogue and CX-5 specifically, but open to other possibilities.
Ok I think that's it. Apparently I need a lot of help. Hopefully someone is still around here! Thanks in advance!

Like bookshelves, dog bowls, shoe baskets, etc. this will vary greatly based on your child. First, secure all heavy pieces of furniture to the wall. Second, secure all locations containing poison or cleaners or anything that can really hurt LO. And then go from there. We had freestanding gates that we put in front of our really wide stairs. Both LOs learned to move them, and would move them out of their way, then put them back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That being said, I think it's see kai run that has super tall shoes.

We loved striderite for shoes, they were great at measuring and had lots of choices, but I think they are closing and going online now. Let them go barefoot as much as possible though.
As TJ said, babyproofing is variable per child. DD was into everything and super fast. DS is much more calm and content. I am big on securing the furniture and blinds, those only take a second to cause great injury.
