We are finally back to a normal week and I have pulled all tv from our routine. We don't watch much but we came back from vacation expecting it all the time. Between being sick and solo parenting for several days I just didn't have the energy to fight it. This week it's on! Poor kid isn't liking it even though we are distracted by other activities.
lilyelayne. How many diapers did you use once you started potty training? I think we are ready and am either going to start Thursday or Monday but I am trying to figure out if I need to order more diapers and how many.
Hello! Went grocery shopping this morning. Now we are playing in the backyard.
Bonus: tonight we are having roasted chicken and veggies. Tomorrow and the next day nacho bar. After that I'm not sure. Maybe pasta. Sometime this week I want to make baked apples in the slow cooker bc we have a lot of apple slices that are getting older.
Ha dreemkin you could answer my question too, I am clearly just thinking about our F15 kiddos.
Oh and bonus. I am trying to clean out the freezer and pantry so it's all based on that. Beef stroganoff, parmesan crusted tilapia, honey garlic shrimp, and a rice/chicken/green bean casserole dish.

aggiebug we use a pull up at nap and a pull up at bed. Sometimes the nap pull-up is dry and we can use it the next day. I used up all our bedtime diapers and then switched to pull ups.
From day one of potty training, we have only used nap and bedtime pull ups, though I will put his nap pull up on if we're driving at naptime. And he wore a pull up for our 7 hour drive to the beach but it was dry both ways.
aggiebug I'm not there yet with A for potty training so I'm not sure how I'll handle that. I think I'll probably stop ordering them when I feel like I have a good stock if we need them for regressions or night time (I remember wishing we didn't stop ordering them when N was having trouble sticking with it). I didn't worry about having too many bc we could save any extras for A. This time I could always give extras to my sister I suppose. Lesson of the story: better to have more on hand then unexpectedly running out to the store one night.
Hi all. Working from home today, A is with me and V is at daycare. And I'm listening to spooky stories and getting myself all worked up. Smart.
aggiebug I'm not there yet with V but with C you could eventually use any extras so I would second dreemkin. But you could also go a reusable cloth type pull up route, to have less to store?
Bonus I did great meal planning last week but am slacking this week. I think we'll have sausage tonight and then for tomorrow I'm getting out a roast for the crockpot. Wednesday we have A's wellchild appointment in the afternoon, so it will have to be something quick any easy. Tacos? Next week we get our first CSA box so I'll have to get back to meal planning then.
I've been holding off on the potty training as well but I think we are going to go for it at the end of August. We use the three day training method so the long weekend works great. Dd1 will be visiting my parents so perfect time so LO will get one on one attention.

I'm starting in a new group tomorrow. It's not the type of new job I wanted. I'm still in the same role, just a different boss and a different machine. I did apply for a new job this morning before I was asked if I'd go over to the new group. Still hoping that will work out.
We'll probably try potty training Labor Day weekend since it's 3 days at home. We bought a pack of pull-ups because H didn't think we had enough diapers (we brought diapers home), but DS had a full on meltdown over pull-ups and wanting a regular diaper. So regular diapers it is for a while.
Meals this week: * Ravioli with broccoli and a salad * Lentil tacos * Pulled pork sandwiches with corn and watermelon and some other vegetable sides I can make in advance (I'm open to ideas, my family is coming to celebrate my mom's birthday)
