I have been using the birth control pills for the last 3 years. Now i want a baby. Me and my partner have talked bout it and i want to get pregnant. But i am not sure on how should i behave with the pills.
Should i stop using them immediately and wait for my periods to come before i plan the pregnancy? Should we use contraceptives while having contact?
How long do i have to stop the use of pills before we try.
Also i was sacred that the long usage of these pills should not harm my body and have any side affects on the baby? Does anyone know of that. Has anyone read anything like ghat or experienced the same before. Let me know your thoughts and views and i would be ready to follow the same. I have consulted my doctor and he has asked me to wait after popping the last pill.

Hi Dear, I have read your concerns, and I know you need the information to help you plan your life. Well, you are not alone, many young ladies find it difficult to understand how pills work and they tend to ask questions that are similar to the ones you have asked. Nevertheless, I want to assure you that you have come to the right place and that I will try to provide answers to most of the questions you have raised. First, it is important to note that pills are made from hormones, so they serve the purpose of hormones. Typically, the body produces hormones to perform a specific task. Once the task has been accomplished, that is the end of the road. So the same thing applies to pills. They are meant to perform a specific task; to prevent conception so once they have done the job that is it. When you stop taking them, the body reverts to its normal function. So if you are not on pills, you will conceive if you have intercourse. Lastly, pills do not remain in the body for long so they cannot affect the fetus.

Hi dear. I'm in the same boat as you! My DH and I aren't actively TTC, rather we are NTNP, but I am using this time to try to figure out my body and hopefully regulate! I was on BCP for 10 years and stopped taking it in February of this year. Since coming off, my cycles have been getting longer and longer. Went from 30 to 35 to 40, to 43, to 45... Like you, I suspect that I'm not ovulating either. What I find most strange is that when I was on the pill I had SO many PMS symptoms! Boobs hurt, cramps, moody, cravings, acne, etc... but, now that I’m off the pill, NOTHING! Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I have this gut feeling that it means something is wrong! I read a lot about Vitex, so this is the first cycle I am trying it. I started taking it mid-cycle so I'm not expecting it to fully work for a few months, but I THINK I finally ovulated!! For two days I had mild cramping in my left abdomen. I am crossing my fingers that what I felt was ovulation! I haven't experienced any other cramps since being off the pill, so I am hopeful! It has been 12 days since the cramps and I started spotting yesterday, so I am hoping that it is the start of AF and it can confirm that what I thought was ovulation was really ovulation! I owe it to Vitex & Lotus Center in Ukraine who helped me a lot with their tips to gain pregnancy. if that is the case! I also bought some OPK's to use next cycle to confirm ovulation. Best of luck to all on their upcoming motherhood.

I have read your case carefully and came to know that you want some guidance. Dear, You are not the only one. Many young women think that it's hard that pills may affect the fertility. However, I want to know you that you have come to the ideal place and will get some useful piece of advice. Take note of that pills are produced using hormones, so they fill the need of hormones. Regularly, the body produces hormones to continue the normal working of the body. So a similar thing applies to pills. They are intended to play out a particular errand; to avoid origination so once they have done the activity that's it. When you quit taking them, the body returns to its ordinary state. So if you are not on pills, you will conceive easily. Finally, pills don't stay in the body for long so they can't influence the TTC.

The pills will have effects. It can delay your TTC journey. I will suggest you consult a doctor. A doctor can help you better. They will examine you properly. A final decision will then be given. My wishes are with you. I hope you get your baby soon. Good luck hun.
Hey. I know it's a tough and confusing but one has to choose an option. I will suggest you that you should immediately stop taking any kind of birth control pills. Birth control pills also come with various harmful effects on your body. I have been TTC for 5 years. Cervical Incompetence was the cause of my Infertility. I chose Surrogacy as the last option for me. As Surrogacy is not legal in our country. So I moved to Europe for the suggested clinic. I would like to suggest you a clinic in Europe. That is the best clinic indeed. They provided us a very good environment there. They provided us a healthy Surrogate. As in Surrogacy, a surrogate gives birth to your baby but a baby will be yours biologically. Surrogate gave birth to our child. We are deciding to have another baby soon through Surrogacy. As it's a best unnatural method. I hope it works out for others too. Stay blessed.
n00b it’s so sad of you. I don’t know what the reason behind your logic. Even I don’t know why you have been taking pills. The thing that I know is woman wants a short break. Maybe you did so by thinking such like that. But remember never take these pills for a longer time. this may harm you. they will stop ovulating factor but another allergic or organ will be affected by these pills. Visit your doctor who recommends you these medicines. He will guide you in such a good manner. Never be too afraid. Think positive and everything will be happening alright to you. as I know you have to stop the pills before 2-3 months of trial. because stopping of pills will boost up your hormone. Thank you so much.
Hi Honey, As you having pills for last 3years. Please let me know you are taking according to doctor recommendation. Well, For the further issue, you should concern with the doctor. He will assist you the better way. I am glad to hear your plan about pregnancy. So I am excited for you. GOD Bless you.
Pills definitely affect the hormones. Your TTC journey will get a break due to them. However, your doctor can help you the best. You'd go for some medication source. You'd go through the checkup regularly. I just wish that you'll conceive a child ASAP. Wishing you a blast of luck. Keep me updated about your journey.
Wishing you good luck. You will conceive very soon. Well my dear pills do effect hormones. I will suggest you to visit clinic for your checkup. Discuss your issue with your doctor. I will surely help you.
Well, that's a great news. If you want to conceive now. I would suggest you to stop taking these birth control pills immediately. They cause harmful effects. I hope it doesn't cause you any damage. Try to visit a good doctor as well. Good luck with your family planning.
I think you should stop taking pills. Any type of pills also has side effects. So don't use it again. TTC needs time and patience. I have seen many couples being TTC from last 10 years. If your TTC won't work you should go for IVF and surrogacy. There is a good clinic in Europe. They are best in dealing with fertility issues.
Hey dear! Hope so you will be fine. I just read your post. I think you should stop using pills. This could create more problems. And wait for a month at least. In this duration, the body will come in its normal position. After that, you can try. I hope it will be good for you. You should also consult your doctor regarding this.

You should come off it. After that, it will take some time for your periods to become regular. During this time you can TTC. However, you won't know your exact ovulation date until the periods get normal. After that make sure to start tracking your date. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way. I hope things work out for you.
