C had his best night ever, after feeling like I was about to break he has given me a little break. Hallelujah.
Today our realtor is coming for dinner. So I am getting the house clean and making homemade lasagna and sides. I didn't think she would say yes! Lol but it's good
lilyelayne that's a good one! And hopefully you got to bible study alright! aggiebug that's really nice of you. Hope dinner goes well.
Today I am getting the pre-vacation packing "nerves" that I use a bohemian/czech word for and N goes "what's that!?!" Lol . I just always feel a little overwhelmed because I am always in charge of packing everything for the girls and myself, getting the dog instructions/supplies together, cleaning and laundry, and anything else we need. Sigh, it'll get done...I hope! PS: it turned chilly today so I'm not sure what to pack for the girls. I'll need skirts and pants grrr.
Does anyone have any advice for talking to V about grandma's dog passing away? My MIL had to put her dog down this morning and V loved that dog. He would always say "go see Grammy and Boo" whenever we told him we where heading over there.
Oh man kartish it's hard. When we put Titus to sleep before our move we explained that he wasn't hurting and not feeling well and sometimes that means we have to say good bye to help them. She said ok and didn't say anything after but life was crazy. A few weeks ago she saw a picture and asked where he was I reminded her he was hurting and it was our job to help relieve the pain. Sometimes it takes more than a bandaid and medicine. That he was no longer here with us and we will miss him but he feels better.
I only sort of remember how it went, she blindsided me and the emotions were harder for me.
I didn't use heaven or death because honestly I didn't even know how to talk about them.

We weren’t late to bible study, woo! Lunch with my mom and then a great afternoon at the zoo. G finally went in the splash pad for the first time.
dreemkin hope the packing is going well! That’s a lot to coordinate.
kartish I’m sure there are picture books about pets dying - I accidentally checked one out of the library before, but I don’t remember the name. That may be more than you want to get into. I wouldn’t make it a big thing, and you’ll probably have to remind him for a while that he won’t see Boo any more.

Getting ready for camping this weekend. I'm ditching work early, but trying to leave my coworker in a good spot since our boss is a mess and our other coworker is gone until Monday.
Thanks aggiebug I tried to explain it to him but I think it was all over his head. I don't know.
I am quite certain it mostly went over S's head. I think continuing to talk about it will help some. And a gentle reminder that he isn't at Grandma's when you are going there will help some.
