I'm guessing your triply stressed about the pictures lilyelayne, lol. Good luck with them.
I'm getting to bed late after spending way too much time looking for a mistake that wasn't really there for a project at work. Sigh. But I'm glad that I was finally able to turn it in.
The weekend is turning to be a quiet one, I'm happy since it was so busy last weekend. I need to get in touch with the photographer to look at our own family photo shoot photos. I hope he got some good ones.
happy friday! i'll be at the office for a couple more hours and then i'm heading home to WFH to escape the Astros parade madness. all the streets around my office will be closed so i hope i get away in time.
lilyelayne you drive a minivan, right? which one? i want one.
How is it that I get nothing on my list but still walk out of Target spending $50?!?!
Extended family get together this afternoon. That's about it. I think I want to set up a mini photo shoot at the house for Christmas cards this weekend. DH will have to help though lol. It's impossible to get the girls to sit still, look at the camera, and smile. It shouldn't be that hard...

Especially at the same time! At our photo shoot there was not a single time they both boys were looking at the camera. One was trying to eat grass, the other was trying to pick up rocks. The photographer said he can do some adjustments but I don't have high hopes for those ones, lol.
Minivan specific things I love -low step up. G was getting into the van by himself before he was 2yo. Also great for bringing my grandparents places. -sliding doors. I don’t have to worry about my door hanging out in someone else’s parking spot if it’s taking me a while to buckle the kid in. Also when he’s older, he won’t be able to open the door and ding the car next to us. -so much space. So many cup holders. Versatile arrangements of seating.
Things I like about the Honda in particular -latch and top tethers in every back seat. Adjustable head rests in every seat (except maybe back middle, I can’t remember, but I think so.) -third row seats are so easy to stow or unfold. I usually do one handed. -automatic sliding doors & trunk. I open the sliding door from inside and open the house door. G is waiting in his seat to be buckled by the time I get to the van. (This obviously depends on where you park & if it’s safe for kid to go to the car alone, but it makes every day better for me.)
lilyelayne ah thanks for the info! That's helpful. I want to test drive an odyssey bc I think that's what I want. I never thought I'd be interested, but all the convenient features are so very appealing at this point in life! The 2018 even has a vacuum cleaner in the back!
Daylight savings wasn’t too bad here. G woke at 7 which is good since church is at 830. I think I’ve about figured out that 10pm is the latest I can take my unisom and not be a zombie half the next day. Of course forgot until almost 11pm last night but the time change saved me
Yesterday we converted A's crib to a little day bed. She also got to go shopping for a little pillow. Again, H pushed for it; not me (she's my last baby!!). Buuut she did so wonderfully! She didn't get up at all and fell right asleep and stayed on her pillow. We are so blessed with how easy of a transition we have with these girls (except potty training). We went to church and then out to eat last night too. It was nice!
We finished season two of Stranger Things last night. Stayed up longer than usual but no one on earth could call it quits after the second to last episode. It was good!
Stayed up way to late playing this number game last night, then the boys were not sleeping well, all if which made me very glad for daylight savings time. I'm WTH tomorrow also, so I'm super glad about that.
V has been having a real tough time with translations lately, and is all about mom for every little need. DH can't do anything with him MOTN without it turning into a epic tantrum these days. DH feels bad and I feel bad, because it's always when I'm feeding A that V wakes up. Hopefully it will pass soon...
Christmas shots are tough. We do one every year bc I get a Groupon. This year there was a lot of goofing going on but there ended up being some great shots to pick from. Getting two kids to smile and look at the camera at the same time is hard!
Long weekend over here. By some miracle the girls actually sleep in for an hour which sorta wiped out our usual daylight savings problem. Getting up at 5 am is never my idea of a good time.
LO got booted from daycare Friday. They said HFM. I thought they were full of it. But now the spots are on her hands. Seems to be a minor case and she'll be back to school tomorrow. I've heard some horror stories before so I think we got off pretty lucky.
