We got a chance to tour and stay at a local condo this weekend through my work; it was a lot of fun. There was a bunch of us from work and their families.
V got to play with a little girl his age Saturday night, they were fast friends. They probably spent 45 minutes running from the condo bathroom to one of the bedrooms, laughing their heads off. Maybe I can set up a play date later with my co-worker.

Oh sounds like a good day!
Today I am waiting for someone to come winterize the sprinkler system, because it's a friend of a neighbor and I never talked to them u have no idea when they are coming.
S is struggling being with a big sister right now. She cried because I had to change C's diaper, if Caleb is crying and I give him a cracker she starts whining like a baby. It's exhausting. I sympathize and I am trying to give her the attention she craves but man it's tough! This too shall pass.
kartish that sounds so fun! i'm forever thinking about setting up play dates for A but never actually doing it.
aggiebug we're getting some of that whining too. it's annoying and really wears on you. hopefully she'll come around soon. sometimes it helps if i make a big deal about some big girl thing that C can't do yet (which i'm sure you've tried). like if A is helping me prep dinner and C is whining, i'll say "wait just a minute C, right now A and mommy are ____, and you can't do that yet because you aren't big enough". or "A had to wait while i ____, so now i need you to wait a minute while i do ___ with A." i won't be able to get away with it forever, but for now it works.

agm04 that's actually really good wording thanks. I have tried similar but more trying to reason with S instead of talking to C. I think she might respond better to your suggestion. C does make it difficult since he can get anywhere she can except opening a door so S helps me make the sandwiches and she is fighting him to get on the stool, another stool just isn't as cool :: eyeroll:: . I also have noticed we are taking a ton of video and pictures of him and not of her but 1) he is just at that stage of change and personality growth it's hard not to and 2) she tells me not to or moves to fast for a good picture. So I think I am going to try and encourage her to perform for the camera to capture some moments. I really want to capture moments of her too she is so damn cute just trickier to capture

Left work too late to get a pedi before teacher conference at daycare (They do them biannually). So I'll have to do one at home before we leave for vacation.
Going to Cuba tomorrow for a week. H is running a marathon and DS and I'll do a little 3K as our reason for visiting.

We are taking DS's talking potty with because it's that or the step stool and potty seat to get him to pee on a toilet. Wishing we'd gotten the Ikea potty for size reasons.

What about one of those travel potty seats that collapse? You just put it on top of the regular toilet seat and it folds back up into 4 pieces.

We have one of those and it works well. We also have a stepstool that folds in half, not sure the brand but we got it at shopko. May be less space and might work better if that's what he's used to.

seamonster I have this potty ring. It doesn’t fold up as small as the ones mishka29 mentioned but DS feels very secure and it fits in a backpack. I’ve never used it as a stand-alone potty.

It was a rough day today with both kids not napping and being cranky. But the evening once DH was home was nice and he was super sweet and washed my bottles for me since I cut my hand.
This week is crazy at work, the season is starting up soon and there is so much going on, I'm working extra days. But its interesting and a change of scenery, so i don't mind the crazy as much.

We have one and after packing that is what we're taking. We'll see if DS will use it. He's doing pretty well peeing at home and is accident free at school ( he only started peeing at home this weekend), so we really want to keep it going.
Hi, it's been a few days for me. We were busy on vaca and just got home last night. As soon as we got home, DH had to leave for a business trip so I am solo until Thursday night. Today was my Mom's birthday so we went to dinner and I made her fav (an almond cake) dessert. AZ was fun but it's nice to be home. I can handle the ILs for only a few days now haha. MIL, especially, is weird and sometimes hard to get along with as a result. She's super removed from the kids and does things like leaves for a hair appointment or to go read a book alone, when we are there. She only gets to see them a few times a year.... it drives me nuts! It'll start all over again too in about a week when they fly in for Thanksgiving. Lord, beer me strength.
