lilyelayne sorry you are your H are having a tough time. those periods are not fun. i'm sure pregnancy exhaustion isn't helping matters. hopefully it passes soon. hugs.
i am over this cold too! i can't handle it. i took the trash cans to the curb this morning and wanted to cry, haha.
hope you all had a great holiday season! we got back from chile early monday morning...managed to survive the 10 hour flights with the kids and had a really great trip.
opinions please. booze at a 3 year old's bday party: yes or no? A's bday party will be on a saturday from 10-12, and i'd probably have mimosas and coffee for the parents at the start (and maybe bagels or muffins), and serve lunch for the kids later. is that weird?
lilyelayne sorry you're having a rough patch. I hope things get better soon.
agm04 are you doing the party at your house for friends and family? Then I would because brunch is the best meal. If it's kids from daycare or somewhere else I might just do the coffee.
I'm planning a party for DS's birthday. We're going to do it at the park with the train he likes. I'd like ask the parents of the kids in his class if they have an annual pass and would be willing to pick up their wrist bands with that so we can have extra wrist bands for the other parents, but I think that would be weird.

Hola. We are attempting potty training again starting today. Unfortunately its filled with toddler attitude and so it's not much fun. Not tantrums about PTing just about life which makes PTing difficult. And well! It's up to 24° today yay for a warm spell . It was 6° when we got home from Texas NYE.
seamonster it'll be a combination of family, friends, and kids from MDO and the neighborhood. i think i will just do it...i'd like to make friends with some of the parents from MDO, but if they can't handle a mimosa offering then i'm not sure we are a good match lol.
for the train party, maybe you could just say something like 'let me know if you have an annual pass and don't need a wristband'?
aggiebug ughh yuck PT. i need to tackle that too. at least the freezing cold weather makes being stuck indoors PT more bearable? i mean probably not. haha. good luck!

Have I was just wishing it was warm so we could just party in the backyard instead of cleaning up accidents in the house . Obviously pros and cons.
We're skating on a rough patch around here too. It's not fun. With everyone being sick in the house last week and me still suffering dh had to do a lot more on his own. Which he gets pissy about. But then I get pissy bc just be an adult you dick. He started his new job so he was stressed about that which I get but still...pull your head out of your ass.
Day two home sick from work. My head and face feels like there is a ballon inside. The sinus pressure is insane. Love to hear and tips and tricks to get rid of this!
agm04 booze at a kid’s party is totally microculture dependent. If I lived in NoLa with my family there, would totally do booze. Here, where it’s mostly DH’s family & their kids attending, would not do booze. Sounds like you already know it’ll be accepted by most of the attendees, so I’d do it.
mishka29 hope everyone’s health and attitudes are much improved soon. Re: sinus pressure are you taking Sudafed? Have you tried saline spray or sinus rinse?

There were so many products that I didn't know what to do. I ended up just going with Tylenol sinus and thinking to manage pain while it went away. That's clearly not working. I'm going to have to try some other things here. Thanks for the suggestions

Ugh I am sorry. I think the best luck I have had with sinus pressure is Flonase and ibuprofen combo. If it's really bad I add in saline spray. I used to hate the nose sprays but it was all I had when pregnant and have gotten used to them and now find them more effective. I like how I can get Flonase OTC but Sudafed (the stuff that actually works) is behind the counter thanks to Meth. If you hate the sprays definitely try pseudoephedrine (the good Sudafed, not phenylephrine) and ibuprofen combo and hot steamy showers.
lilyelayne I'm sorry for the rough patch. The holiday stress is difficult and winter in general can put people in a mood. I don't know what it's about between you two but H and I have recently talked about "love languages" - how we show our love and how we want to be shown love.
agm04 like someone mentioned, that is a person choice. I do not provide alcohol at kids parties but mostly bc I have cousins that take advantage and get drunk. If it's done in a classy mimosa way (for the time of day), and you feel it would be well received, then go for it! Like you said, you don't want to be friends with judgey people anyway!
seamonster I would just word it in a way like "please bring passes/bands from home if you have them". And then I would buy as necessary during the party!
aggiebug God bless you! Hope potty training goes well. We are basically using Easy Ups as diapers these days and I'm like...whatever. Haha
mishka29 I am fighting through a doozy cold atm. I got the behind the counter Sudafed (which I never do) and it helps but keeps me up at night so I am using sparingly. I also have been using my personal go-to, mucinex dm. I was also told by a doctor to use the flonase spray to open up closed nasal passages that could lead to sinus or ear infections. I have trouble with an ear that get easily congested and therefore infections so I'm afraid and hitting it at all angles possible. Good luck with yours. Sinus and ear pain are the worst!
