mrsamyd, do you get another update between now and Tuesday?
jbdamonm, yes the embryologist said she would call again Sunday morning and give us the day 3 stats. So it would be more info for making the decision. Also, my RE said he and the embryologist always give their professional opinion, but would let us choose.
That's very helpful!!!!! Please report back 2 vs. 1 is such a tough call but thankfully you're a really smart cookie so I know you've got this
So I got the call from the embryologist. Of our 13 that fertilized, 13 are still growing. However, she said that 9 are "good" the other 4 are fair to poor and likely to arrest.
She believes that we will have 2-4 viable for transfer/freezing on Tuesday.
As for the one to two, she said if we have 3+ that look good, she will advise a SET. If we have two, or more than two that look fair to poor, she will advise transferring two. DH and I have talked about 1 vs. 2 a lot. We both feel good transferring one if we have frozen embryos. If we are transferring our only hope/hopes of this cycle, we will do two.
Transfer is a go for Tuesday afternoon!
It is a party every night with butt shots (PIO). Good times over here

I don't know about you, but I am starting to feel a bit freaked about the possibility of being pupo in about 3 weeks....and my cycle hasn't even started. I hope you're excited for tomorrow. I am excited for you.

Thanks, kaf7, I'm nervous, but kinda excited. Thus far, this cycle has exceeded my wildest imagination. So instead of crying and freaking out every minute of every day from the first stim check, I'm feeling hopeful. I'm hopeful because if this one doesn't work, we will more than likely have frosties. And if all fails, I still have my wonderful, precious J. It is so much different than last time.
mrsamyd, Good luck today with your transfer! If we had any to freeze we would have only transferred 1 this past cycle. As it was, we only had 2 for a 3dt. 1 8 cell and 1 6 cell. Embryologist didn't think the 6 cell would make it to freeze so we transferred both. Here I sit 19w1d pregnant with twins! We were excited then terrified at the prospect of 3 under 2. We are now getting excited again. Whatever decision you & DH make will be the right one!

The transfer went really well! Both the RE and embryologist recommended a SET. We followed their advice and I'm PUPO! The awesome news is that we have for sure two frosties. The embryologist said she thought one more might make it by tomorrow morning! Eek! I'm ecstatic about a couple of frosties for backup/siblings!
I go in for an estrogen/progesterone draw on Friday. Beta is 3/5.
Now to POAS or not to POAS....
....let the rampant googling for pregnancy symptoms begin!!

julie216, this was our exact situation with IVF1. We ended up with just J. Had this been our situation again, we would have transferred two. With frosties, I feel like we need to give them a chance. If we were to have twins, DH would never go for another. Stranding a frostie would freak me out.
You will rock 3u2. Maybe not every day. I think us IF ladies somehow are given an extra scoop of patience
So I confess that beta or bust did not fly this time around. I got DH on board with testing this morning. At 2:15 I woke up and couldn't fall asleep. By 3:15 I guess my restlessness woke him up. He said, if you can't sleep because you are nervous, let's just test now! Soooooo....at 3:15 this morning I got a BFP!!!!!!! We are 7dp5dt and it wasn't even a squinter!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Awesome news So happy for you! I was just looking for an update this AM from you wondering what you had decided to do about POAS.
