Thanks everyone! ER yielded 24 eggs...yowzers! This compared to my cycle with J that retrieved 11.
My RE thought a good number were immature, so we will know more tomorrow when we get the fertilization report.
We did a different protocol (Microdose Lupron Flare), compared to the long Lupron from last time. We are also doing ICSI this time because we had less than 50% fertilization rate last time.
Now begins the one or two debate. Because we will be doing a fresh transfer, we won't have PGS/CCS to help. We are thinking about two. We transferred two last time and ended up with one baby. I'm three years older (statistically putting me in the 45% abnormal range). Ah...the decisions us infertiles face instead of wine or tequila before hopping into the sack.
I'm getting ready for a post-retrieval snooze Thanks for the love in my direction!

Just got the call from the embryologist. Of the 24 eggs, 14 were mature. We expected this because all my growth u/s and blood work predicted 10-14 eggs.
However, the awesome news is that of the 14 mature, 13 fertilized with ICSI!!!
In my chat with the embryologist, she thought given my previous cycle, she thought of the 13, around 30% would be viable for transfer. So...maybe 4-5? Either way, I'm cautiously optimistic.
Given that we might have embies to freeze, it is making me reconsider one or two for transfer. I would really prefer a singleton for a whole host of reasons, but I had found peace with the thought of transferring two. Sooooo...back to discussions with DH.
Woo-hoo!!! Great fert report Question for you - how old are you? I know you have said a few times that reccomendations are two based on your age? I"m 35 and my RE also reccomended two. I was really not ok with the thought of twins and decided if we made it 5 days we would only put one back.....And as you know it worked Just thought I would share my experiences.. good luck!
Gah, I would totally transfer two if we weren't going to have anything to freeze, but it looks like we might so I just don't know...i really want to deliver at my birthing center again. They don't deliver twins (unless you don't know, which has happened).
Awesome fert report. It took us FOREVER to decide between 1 and 2 to transfer. We ultimately decided on 2 for a variety of reasons. At the end of the day, we had to be ok with twins and we were. I'm pregnant with twins now and I wouldn't change anything. But definitely ask your questions and get your answers so you can make the best decision for you. One question for me was how much the quality would be effected after thawing the embryos and would they even survive. I thought it was a given that it would all stay the same as pre-freezing but we lost quite a bit of the quality by thawing (but they ended up sticking anyway). Good luck!

Congrats on a great fert report! That's wonderful news!
That is such a hard decision. I was dead set on transferring two, but my doctor strongly urged us to only transfer one. Based on my medical history, carrying twins would be very risky for me. My DH is of the mindset that the doctor knows best (I don't necessarily agree), but we decided to only transfer one right before the transfer. You have to be 100% comfortable with whatever you decide. Good luck!
Amazing, congrats! I am younger than you so age may play a role, but my RE would not let us transfer two this time. I'm kinda glad I didn't have to make that decision. Good luck with the decision and I hope transfer goes well!
DS born 2011 (@35 weeks gestation on my bday) after 2 years TTC and 3 medicated IUIs

mrsamyd, do you get another update between now and Tuesday?
jbdamonm, yes the embryologist said she would call again Sunday morning and give us the day 3 stats. So it would be more info for making the decision. Also, my RE said he and the embryologist always give their professional opinion, but would let us choose.
