Happy Friday ladies! We keep having pretty nice weather during the week and crappy weather on the weekends and that streak continues this weekend. Its a wintry mix of snow and rain here right now.
We're going to try to check out story time at the library tomorrow if the weather cooperates. We haven't been getting out much on the weekends lately because of the weather and also because I've been super paranoid about the flu but it seems like thats finally starting to die down. Hopefully we can get out, being stuck inside is really starting to get old.
My sister & BIL fly in tonight! I won’t see them cause their plane doesn’t land until 11pm but still excited. G and I are going by the new house to see how the bedroom paint color looks, then hopefully to the park if the sun shines long enough.
N has off from preschool today so just a morning of playing. Nothing else planned today. It's been a long and stressful work week for H but that stresses me out too because he's in a bad mood at home. I'm glad it's Friday. I'm "making" Thai coconut soup with shrimp for dinner. Meaning: I bought the base soup and am sprucing it up with coconut cream and fresh shrimp (no meat for me today).
dmorgendorffer I hear ya! Now a coworker that DH works closely with tested positive for the flu. I'm worried about him bringing it home to the kids but there's nothing we can do now.
seamonster glad your H is okay. Hopefully the tests come back negative.
lilyelayne I'd love to see pics of the new house if you are comfortable sharing them! How have you been feeling morning sickness wise??
My friend made it through her pituitary adenoma surgery just fine and they are confident they got it all. Usually they go through the nose but because of the position of the adenoma they went through her lip, through her sinuses... Sounds painful.
dreemkin I feel you on DH’s work stress becoming home stress. Glad to hear your friend is doing well! My mom took a bunch of “before” pics when we first bought the house so I’ll have to get those for comparison.
I’m still sick every day. But only a few times & I’m back up to pre pregnancy weight so not a big deal I guess.
G had a great birthday party yesterday! My sister and BIL are in from California. G played in the bounce house for hours- until it got too dark to see outside- and he got to go fishing with my dad and ILs.
Unfortunately after such a long day we overslept and missed mass, so he’ll have to get his birthday blessing next week.
Yesterday we did taxes and got a good amount coming back to us. It's nice to see that money, even though I know in a way it was ours all along haha.
Today we all woke up on the wrong side of the bed (especially the threenager) so it was a rough morning. But we recovered and went out to eat and back to my house with my family for grandpa's birthday. It was nice!
We have decided to do a disney world trip next year that my sister will join us for. I was hoping for it to be a whole family trip but everyone else backed out. Planning/talking about the trip makes me so happy. And while it's still like a year out, we can book it in a few months (usually June for the next years package pricing). Plus, my sister who is without a SO/children never takes a vacation and rarely gets excited about much except WDW, her favorite place. I'm excited to share the experience with her this time!
H is fine. No problems this weekend and everything is coming back normal.
We went camping and a good time. Got DS to wear underwear, but not to use the potty other than peeing in the shower. So a few accidents. We did pullups for nap and driving. He doesn't want an accident in his underwear (he's ok with pull up accidents), but won't just go in the toilet. That kid can really hold things. I don't know how to deal with the stubbornness at home because he's great at school.
