We had a good weekend. Easter egg hunt on Saturday and yesterday was a quiet day of church and time at home.
We have quite a thunderstorm today it's calmed a bit but still raining so we are watching Cars for the first time. Oh and first dental appointment for the kiddos today this afternoon eek.

Thanks for the get well wishes. I am recovered. DH got a lot of stuff moved to the new house this weekend, & we set up G’s big bed. He wants to stay overnight but I told him we couldn’t until DH and I have a bed there too.
dreemkin it took a bit to get used to parking the minivan vs my old car. Does yours have the proximity sensors that beep if you get too close to things? That helped me. And I don’t mind taking multiple attempts to park haha.
Work today and it snowed so much. My yard is covered in snow again. I'd be upset but I know it'll be gone before Easter. Plus I think I'll take a break and go snowboarding today.
I think I'm going to try and do an Easter hunt in our yard sometime this week to make sure DH and I will be present for A's first egg hunt. And I wanted to get them a basket with a book, but I know they'll get two baskets each from grandma's, so I don't know if I want to bother.
Sometimes I wish I could just do things for my kids but even if I ask them not to, both grandma's do what ever they want, so then I don't because it's too much at thay point. No kid needs three Easter baskets. Ugh...vent over.
aggiebug I'm glad you had a nice weekend. GL with dentist appointments. Cars is not my favorite but the girls seem to like it. lilyelayne that's good he's excited about it; it'll make for an easy transition. Have you sold your current house yet? kartish glad you can make use of the snow!
I am getting used to the van already. It has only back up sensors and cam (lilyelayne) but that's very helpful. I had a successful first solo trip. But N got a time-out for not obeying the safety rules we established of not opening/closing doors without permission. She opened the trunk door and it was in the garage. Luckily the garage door was still open and the van door cleared the top enough to not damage the van.
Tomorrow I have a physical scheduled with a new doctor. I hate doctors appointment anyway, to the point of slight anxiety I think (I know I have white coat syndrome). But especially since it's a new office and new doctor I'm dreading it. It's like, "nice to meet you, I'm very naked and here is my hoo-ha." Uuugh
kartish I am sorry about the grandma's that isn't fair. It's good they love them so much but it's hard when you want to make your own memories too.
I
I think I have such a hard time with it because of all the stress around the holiday of trying to work with two family celebrations, plus my work schedule means I'm often at work part of the holidays anyway, that I project a lot of those frustrations on the endless gifts. I know I should be thankful on how much they are loved and showered with affection. Maybe I'll try to zen and be grateful, then put the easter basket money towards our Hawaii trip.
dreemkin I hate finding g new doctors. I need to find one soon because mine moved, but I keep putting it off. I hope the new doctor is one of those you feel comfortable with right away!

kartish I am right with you for being grateful I have such close & involved family and ALSO being disgruntled that it seems I get to do so few tradition type things myself. I’ve claimed dying Easter eggs as my thing. It’s more time intensive which is probably why the grandparents don’t do it, but it’s special and fun and holiday specific. Then if you want you can slip a few of the dyed eggs into the Easter baskets before presentation & you’re part of that surprise too?
dreemkin hope your appointment goes well & you and your new doc get along immediately.
kartish I completely understand. Holidays are stressful and I live far from family! It some ways it adds to it but really I think it makes it easier. The stuff though man it's hard and you want to let grandparents spoil but it has to be taxing to always be the one that has to say no.
Still sick. I thought I was better this morning and was still stayed home from work. I just got worse. Staying home tomorrow. H and I agreed that if he or DS gets this on our camping trip we're going home.
Potty training is going well. DS is better at home and actually pooping in the potty. Not going away for the weekend this month has probably helped. He loves colors on his bath which he gets for being accident free or pooping in the potty. Still doing pull-ups for naptime on the weekend even though he's dry at school because sometimes he'll withhold in the morning. Still won't go outside home or daycare.
