H's mom is in the hospital with a saddle pulmonary embolism (a deathly type). She is in ICU but stable and doing well. She recently broke her ankle and had to keep it in a boot so that caused a few clots that moved to her lung. Her sister just went through something similar so they are testing her for clotting factors (especially genetic). She lives in AZ so we can't visit.
My spots are starting to fade and I feel human again today. I'm wearing my contacts and a bra! Throat still hurts but it's a bit better each day.
I'm pretty sure our mourning doves' eggs have hatched because I see a lot of fussing from the parents and moving in the nest. I wish I could see in there! I'm calling it a successful brood - finally!!
dreemkin that's good news about G and the doves. I'm glad you are starting to feel better. So sorry to hear about your mom though, T&Ps for her and for her recovery.

J is one month old today. I cannot believe that. Took him swimming for the first time to celebrate; he slept the whole time haha. Guess that means he likes the water?
dreemkin yay for feeling better & your nephew’s progress & the doves! T&Ps for your MIL.
lilyelayne I was going to ask how J is doing? How are you, H, and G doing with an infant?
Everyday I'm a little better so we are tying vacation again tomorrow. Parents picked up Gatsby so now there's just packing to finish up. The girls are still packed from last time haha. They are so excited. We are doing a road trip to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Although only technically a state away, it is considered a southern state so I'm hoping it'll be regionally much different from our every day Midwest. We are going on a tour of mammoth cave and hopefully a few kid attractions like a dinosaur park and a "down under" zoo. If nothing else they will be happy swimming at the hotel and going out to dinner haha. Tomorrow is basically a travel day as it will take at least 6 hrs to get there, gulp.
Work today, but I am going to a movie with a friend tonight so if I can I'm going to leave early.
V and A have had a busy weekend playing with friends, as we had two birthday BBQs to go to, and V was so tired that he fell out of bed twice but didn't wake up last night.
Got back yesterday from a week away at a cottage with the IL’s. No major drama other than the usual annoyances. It will be hard to go back to work tomorrow lol
The girls did great for our 6hr drive! N got a little antsy toward the end; A could have gone forever. She's more like me. So we made it and now the girls and H are swimming to get energy out. I need to plan what we're gonna do tomorrow.
dreemkin glad the drive went smoothly! We are adjusting pretty smoothly to a life of four. G adores his brother & is so patient and understanding. But I think the stress of being so accommodating is a little hard on him, because there have been some particularly rough meltdowns in other areas. DH appears to be handling the newborn stage better this time. Experience helps!
