The baby did well on his first road trip. We stopped twice, which is only once more than usual, and he happily snuggled our friends while DH and I unpacked the car, set up the bedrooms, got G ready for bed, etc.
My bffs baby has grown so much since we were here in May. He’s crawling & pulling up & babbling all the time. He seems equal parts interested and confused by J.
Work this morning and I really need to buckle down on some projects today, but we've got a party and a dinner to go to today so I'm leaving early. So I guess I better just make it count.
The party is for DH's grandma who is turning 80, and she is so sweet. We don't visit then often enough, so it will be good to visit for a bit.
Yes dear husband never say anything. He is excellent about talking in code about trivial things such as snacks (which also makes me nuts), but will then pipe up with let's go to the zoo tomorrow on a whim 🤦.
Hello. S got a new bed yesterday. It's an Ikea bed so we had some assembly to dly, along with a new ikea desk. H and I actually enjoy putting them together so it's no biggie.
S is thrilled and I am happy she chose bedding she can grow with. It was HomeGoods so not expensive but it's nice to know it can last more than a year or two.
Other than that it's church today and lazy day hopefully. Read my 4 books I checked out for from the library
Did the zoo yesterday with my whole family. It was fun! Today we are getting together with my mom's side of the family to visit because my cousin's kid is in town from CA (moved there after college). Always crazy and loud but that's my family haha.
I was talking about the zoo on the phone to DH, who was home with the kids, and V piped up that he wanted to talk to me. So he got on and was all like "mom, were you talking about the zoo?" Kid's got good hearing I guess!
So I had to backpedal my way out of that one, since we were deciding to not go with my sister.
aggiebug hope S loves her new bed! and new sheets are always fun! kartish really good hearing...when they want to 😉 lilyelayne hope you are having a fun trip!
aggiebug are Ikea beds a normal size or some weird size? When I look at them in the store they seem like a weird size but I don't know if that's just a trick of being in Ikea. I'm thinking a bed with shelves under it would be good for DS's room.

I dont know about the adult beds, but I thought V's KURA bed was smaller than a twin when looking at the display but when we got it home all our twin sheets fit just fine on it.

They have standard sizes beds. They have one bed that is this weird adjustable length, I think it's full length is a twin and they carry a special mattress that tucks into the bed. I think? It's cute and we considered it, especially when I was pregnant and we thought there would be room sharing but decided against it.
