Today we went to the playground, took a walk, and now Anna is playing in the backyard before we pick up Sister. It's a beautiful day here; storms from yesterday really cooled it off and took the humidity away. Enjoying it while we can!
OMG y'all C is at an age that is killing me. It's that he is so busy and capable but still working on listening so he is constantly being told no (and heaven help me as I am desperately trying to use positive language over no but sometimes man ...). He is also talk enough to reach things on the counters so everything ends up on the floor.
Anyhoo last night he dragged our kitchen trashcan to the living room and tipped it over to stand on. Y'all it had raw chicken juice in it. I have raw chicken juice in my carpet, sprinkled with cooked, sticky couscous. I am not a germaphobe but this is beyond my tipping point 😆

Omgggg I would want a new carpet lol How old is he? (That’s #2 right?) I’m thinking our #2 is going to be a bit “exploratory” as well in a bad? Way. #1 has some crazy but not so dangerous stuff so far. Thought #2 was gonna be quiet but.... looks like we were wrong haha

Lol he is approaching 2. And may the odds be ever in your favor!
Rant: why do parents let their kids chase geese (especially at the zoo)? It's not teaching respect to animals. And it's just annoying - leave them be! Such brats...

Oh dear they should watch out too geese can be quite vicious. (I almost spelled viscous, had to share as I found it humourous )

Parents’ night at school went well. I didn’t find the parents of the two kids G talks about, but I did get to chat with others. I found all the lessons he’s told me about doing, and his teacher pointed out one more that he’s really interested in. It’s in the language section, which is unsurprising. Love my little chatterbox.
Got to do one last video chat with my sister before Burning Man (an art festival in the Nevada desert) opens to the public & the minimal cell service gets too overloaded to function. She loves it but it’s a long 2 weeks for me not getting to talk to her every day. G was disappointed it was too dusty to see the Man. We’ve been reading his Burning Man picture book every day this week per his request.
I remember her love for burning man, I hope it's s fantastic teo weeks for her and fast for you.
I sympathize on missing your sister. I talk all the time with mine but for a lot of reasons we haven't gotten to talk much this whole summer. I am so glad school is almost back in session so our schedules won't conflict!
