A cried bc she didn't have school today. It was so sad. After dropping off N, I went to a meeting that totally caught me off guard. I thought it was going to be a speech eval consent form and it was a meeting with her teacher, the speech pathologist, and a case worker. Was not expecting that. So basically if she is deemed eligible for speech, she will get an IEP. I am slightly aware of these because my sister is a special education teacher. I cried when I got home because the paperwork says "special education" and "disability" and I feel bad having her be associated with that. But my sister talked me down and said all of her speech-only IEP parents react that way and it's just a formality so they get the proper funding from the state. So I hope we are doing the right thing! Everyone in the room said thank you for bringing up my concern because now she will get the help she needs before it effects her on another level, like socially or academically. The teacher had wonderful compliments of N on those areas so that was nice to hear. Next step will be her evaluation when the pathologist is able to.
H got home pretty early today after his mini business trip so he was able to pick up N from school with us!
Hugs dreemkin! You are doing the right thing and none of the funding description stuff will stick with her.
We made it to Hawaii. Kids were pretty good on the plane, considering. Only two mention from A and only one from V. The evening was rough trying to get the boys fed, but bedtime went smoothly.
And then we Wye up at 3 am local this morning... going to be an interesting day
Yesterday we spent the day at the zoo. It was a little chilly out and it was glorious (I hate the heat)! It was a nice day with daddy! He is not usually there with us at the zoo!
Today H is making smoked pork all day while we watch football!! Wooo! Love the return of football Sundays!

Nephew’s birthday party yesterday then we had friends over to watch the LSU game. It was rainy so I made taco soup. I’m already looking forward to leftovers.
Church & Target this morning before we came to my grandmother’s for lunch. We ended up trading in the infant car seat for a different one because the straps on our old one were such a pain to tighten evenly. Nice trade in event right now plus 5% off all car seats.
