kartish hope you're having a wonderful (and healthy) time in Hawaii! seamonster how's the job hunt?
Today A and I are hanging out with my parents. N has her first drawing class today after school so she gets picked up 1 hr later. I hope it's not going to be too much for her after a full day of class but it's 13 weeks so it's not forever. She loves to draw and color so I thought she'd really like this. It's a program that meets right after school at the school so it's easy too!
Today is our wedding anniversary! And it is a beautiful day out just like it was in 2009. We can't believe it's been 9 yrs already as a lot has happened since then - fresh out of college. We are so blessed with our lives and how easy our marriage is; we are still very much in love! Okay, mushy part over 😉
It's our 4th straight day of rainy overcast weather here, at least it looks like the weekend will be nice. I saw a sign that there is a 5K in our neighboring town this Sunday and I think I'm going to sign up and run it. Between narrow busy roads and enormous steep hills our neighborhood isn't great for running so I haven't done a full 3 miles in forever, we'll see how it goes.
I made it to the Dr today and diagnosed with my first UTI. Blah. Glad to have meds and know I should feel better quickly now but blah.
I feel like I am barely holding it together at the moment. 3.5 yr old is effing exhausting, 2 yr old is different exhausting. Today is the first day I can think of that I have actually thought living near family sounded nice. This too shall pass but I am just in a funky mood.
aggiebug sorry you’re in a funk. When I get run down it can be hard to find a way to regain some energy/momentum/peace. Hopefully you can find a way soon.

Bible study today. Glowing reports from the infant room about J. MIL picked up G from school but I think I should be able to get back from bible study in time to get him most weeks- it was just downpouring and first day so I knew everything would be slower today.
Kids are napping. I should go chop veggies and such for stir fry prep but I really don’t want to. Maybe there’s something in the freezer we can have instead.
aggiebug I'm sorry you're in a funk. We all know how exhausting threenagers are when feeling 100%! Hang in there; not feeling well is a major factor. If we were closer I'd offer to watch them! dmorgendorffer you go girl! lilyelayne go J!

You are so kind. Thanks for the encouraging words.
I had a friend say she always found their half birthdays came with the worst behavior and so far it rings true here. We are struggling with basic things like walking next to me in a parking lot and throwing epic tantrums when I hold her hand. Like child we've been doing this since you could walk.
Yesterday we had a low key night. I made a new pork chop slow cooker recipe for dinner. It was okay but kind of like something I've done before and I wanted it to be different. Sometimes slow cooker meals start to all taste the same. Oh well, still yummy and lucky to have such nice food to eat! Norah loooved her drawing class so I was happy about that. There were a few other kinders in it too so I'm glad we're not alone haha. Then we worked on an All About Me page for A's class. After the kids went to bed I gave H a hair cut and watched the Cubs lose. Fun times!
Tonight N and I have our 6 month dentist appointments.

dreemkin E eats what we have for dinner maybe once a week. DH gives both kids a snack when he gets home with them and E just keeps asking for more snacks all night long. She'll be at the dinner table refusing to eat her dinner but asking for a yogurt or a string cheese. Beef stroganoff is basically the only dinner she'll always eat.
aggiebug, I am constantly reminding myself that she's only 3 but sometimes she really pushes buttons on purpose. I completely lost it a few months ago when she ran away from me in the parking lot at the playground. Now she gets reminded before we get out of the car and before we walk out of wherever we are that she MUST someone's hand in the parking lot.
J has been taking super early and short naps at daycare this week so evenings have not been enjoyable. At least its almost Friday.

aggiebug ugh yes to things that we’ve been doing for years suddenly becoming an issue. We went through a phase a few months ago where G just shrieked every time we buckled the car seat. He’d climb in fine but once you closed the buckle- shrieking. Never in life have you ridden anywhere unbuckled, kiddo.

LLL this morning. My dad picked up G from school so I didn’t have to leave early. Now the big kid is sleeping and J is cranky but won’t stay asleep. Ugh. I think it’s growth spurt time.
Yesterday I made dinnner and put it on the table and called the girls. They came to the table and started crying at the sight of their plates. Actual tears from both. Definitely heard the words gross and disgusting mixed in with the whining.
I made dh sit with them and I took my food to another room. I couldn’t listen to them through another dinner.
My mom catered to my sister who was really picky. I've vowed to not do that. It still annoys me how picky she is while eating. I am not being a short order cook; they are not going to starve from a meal they mostly push around their plate haha.
